  1. Did Iguchi decide to not play today? I mean seriously where the hell was he on either of those plays?
  2. QUOTE(thedoctor @ Jul 2, 2006 -> 10:22 AM) eric gordon to join derrick rose's aau team for peach jam Awesome News...EG is the best thing to happen to the Illini since, um, Dee Brown. lol
  3. QUOTE(maggliopipe @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 03:42 PM) Like b****ing about people b****ing. Neither of us started a freaking thread ripping a player individually. :headshake I dont see the point of it when three of our players failed to get bunts down. Uribe, Gooch and Anderson all failed. Uribe got bailed out by the HBP.
  4. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 03:36 PM) Gooch didnt get a bunt down, either did pods. Give it a rest. When our offense is one of the top 5 in baseball why do we continually rip BA? We need every stitch of his defense in CF to help catch the hard hit balls off of half our staring rotation right now.
  5. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 03:11 PM) Well, our worthless leadoff hitter keeps the status quo. He is so f***ing useless. I remember when I posted this on numerous occasions the second half of last season, and the beginning of this season. Everytime I was cussed out repeatedly. I guarantee he will not be in a Sox uniform come 2007. KW is seeing what we are seeing.
  6. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 1, 2006 -> 03:08 PM) Here is another meathead double switch. Konkero is out, because Ozzie needed to have a double switch. How about taking Brian Anderson out, putting the pitcher in that spot, and then putting mack in center. We get Mack to leadoff. Ross is not a good leadoff guy, as he swings at everything. Now if we do tie it, we dont have Kong or Thome in the game. Dumb Ozzie is a managing trainwreck in NL park. Also apparantly when we go to an NL park ozzieball, smallball and smartbal is in full effect. I'm going to go puke in the bushes.
  7. So will Pods walk or strike out looking here? I'm saying a 90% of one of these to occur.
  8. QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 02:51 PM) We got the 28th. Sounds pretty sweet. ^^^^^^agreed and I have the 28th as well
  9. QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 03:35 PM) Illini got a great commitment today from 07 PG/SG 6'4 Demetri McCarney. Hell of a pick-up. Rated 4 star by Scout, 13th best prospect, but if he's not one of the top 5 PG's in the 07 class, I will eat my shoe. He reminds me ALOT of Derrick Rose, similar size, athletecism, passing ability, and desire to attack the rim. Great pick-up. He said, "I’ve been dreaming about going to Illinois". http://illinois.scout.com/2/543729.html Well he's just like Derrick Rose. Just without the freak athleticism (speed and leaping ability) McCamey will be a solid college player because hes a strong point guard. He will be able to finish around the basket. I would almost say hes a Jameer Nelson type but 4 inches taller.
  10. QUOTE(Kid Gleason @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 02:30 PM) Really, as to if you should be excited or not, just realize that there probably would be no such thing as NIN without there having been a Bauhaus. Few bands influenced the underground more than Bauhaus, and few bands still sound relevant. Just check out the song "Double Dare". Thx..gave it a listen and its pretty cool. I'll be looking forward to seeing them.
  11. QUOTE(tealeafreaderii @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 02:13 PM) this is a different team with DLee and Barret in the line up... plus Piere has actually played half way decent this past week or 2. fascinating They still stink and I dont know who any of those people are.
  12. QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 01:37 PM) Couldn't agree more. Gordon is the highest rated Illini recruit, maybe ever. At least since Ben Wilson or Marcus Liberty. Weber has had some high profile misses, but show me a coach that doesnt. If Rose joins this class, it will be, on paper, the best class in Illinois history by far. Don't count on Rose. Even if we can score another 4 star prospect this will probably be the best Illini class in history. I would love to have Rose, but since we offered McCamey I'm pretty sure that tells you how confident Weber is in getting Rose to come here.
  13. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 02:05 PM) I'd probably rather have Marshall right now than Garland. Yup..at least Marshall has a legitimate offspeed pitch
  14. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 02:04 PM) LOL. I worry about people's health this weekend. Mercy, it'st hte second inning. You've already said that Crede is killing the team with his hitting of late and that you can't stand to watch BA bat. You have no room to talk...
  15. Pods strikes out looking. Thankfully the Earth will continue to revolve on it's axis.
  16. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 01:42 PM) No. But we scored three runs so no need to harp on it. Just so frustrating to watch him hit. Didnt he just fly out deep to left? Isn't that a good AB for BA?
  17. QUOTE(Rex Kickass @ Jun 30, 2006 -> 01:17 PM) Bauhaus AND Peaches! Yeah I've never heard of Peaches... Check that...I have heard of Peaches. Oh my...hmm well this should be interesting
  18. I just got free skybox tix to the NIN show this Saturday. Apparantly they are playing with Bauhaus...arent they a early 80's band? I'm confused by the whole thing. Should I be excited about this at all or just hope for good food?
  19. QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 02:09 PM) man, ozzie sucks balls today...why wasnt aj batting? man, i hate sanchez, i think crede got hit on purpose, i dont think he wanted to pitch to him...i hope we hit the s*** out of freddy sanchez Sanchez hit Crede on purpose? I'm confused...
  20. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 02:06 PM) Widger swings at the first pitch. End of threat. AJ should of hit there. Now we have to rely on Uribe, Brian Anderson, PH against their lefty closer. Ozzie fears using his backup catcher like the plague. He must have nightmares about an injury to his catcher and not having a backup to replace him with daily. Widger has had a banner game today...the pitcher hits Crede and he swings at the first pitch? goodness
  21. I'm taking bets on if and how Widger will end this inning.
  22. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 01:53 PM) PIC WHORE Aww c'mon SSI you know I'm just trying to impress you!
  23. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jun 29, 2006 -> 01:46 PM) Here's the June ERA of our starters: 5.57+, 4.81, 4.78, 7.50, 3.89 Pretty dominating to say the least. *Celebrates* I think "in shambles" is an apt description. When I hear the words in shambles I think of this: I think you and I have much different definitions.
  24. Current radar for my fellow Weather nerds. Fascinating
