I don't understand where the offense went.

Seeing Jay batting in front of Eloy all the time in the 5 spot is beyond maddening.

We don't really have many great tradeable assets but I think we package Colome and Fry or Bummer together for a nice piece. If anybody wants Leury or Abreu I'd be fine with it. The rest of the stuff we have is trash. Also I'm listening on McCann if we get an Eaton like return then yeah you do that all day.

I just think the rest of this season would be the best time to get a final evaluation. Don't really want to be doing that next year.

Why is Fulmer not in our pen? He might never be anything but I think he is out of options after this year. At some point you have to see what he is or you cut him loose.

Yep, we've promoted a lot of guys the last couple years and the rest got destroyed by injuries. We don't have much of a well to draw from after the rest get promoted this year/early next year.

Oh man, I'm going to get grilled for this. Colome for Addison Russel. The Cubs are going to unload him at some point with guys like Bote on the roster and Hoerner coming up. Russel is the odd man out here and would be a change of scenery guy in my opinion, even though he'd be in the same town same media. Do you do it? I think I would. He can play a few spots, has some pop, and would be better than Leury/Yolmer utility guys. Of course this was all thought of with Coors in my veins and the Cubs Encore playing in the background. But I'm doing this if it comes up. Of course it doesn't make a whole lot of sense for the Cubs but I'm going to channel Theo to make this happen.

Not suprising. I can't wait to see a semblence of a rotation next year.

This guy is a fraud, but I'm pulling the trigger all day on Colome/Bummer for May. That is a no brainer.

1. Because Hahn might be able to get a package together that will get a decent prospect return, like he has been doing pretty efficiently. 2. Not that I think we would get anything more than a couple flyer guys, teams need pitching and bench depth going into playoff runs. 3. I would trade McCann if the prospect hall was something stupid like we got with Eaton. Other than that I would prefer to keep him, but still listen on offers.
