  1. Drew Gilbert got run last night for MF'ing the ump after a strike call (and it wasn't even strike 3) and last week Jordan Beck flipped off the centerfielder after hitting a ball over his head. I love guys who play with an edge but these too are habitual line steppers and I'm starting to think it could cost them in the draft.
  2. Sheets finally got sent down.
  3. You can step right if you're willing to hit right but he's trying to pull everything so he ends up cutting himself off. I'd love to find out what his thought process is.
  4. It doesn't look like the move right swing left thing is working out for Robert. That swing only works for guys who are willing to go the other way and he clearly is not willing to go the other way.
  5. How could that possibly be true?!? hIs tRiPlE a StAtS wErE tErRiBlE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. He is and the tools are among the best in the country but he has a couple things working against him. He has an unorthodox swing, he doesn't have a long history of performance and he didn't play in a power conference. He's going to the combine and if he shows like I think he will he'll be in the 1st round conversation for a lot of teams. My comp for him is Aaron Rowand. The tools are special.
  7. I don't think so. They could try to push him down and overslot him but there are too many teams with mutiple picks.
  8. They're still light on his tools. It's 70 run and 70 arm. If he played in the SEC instead of the Valley he would be a top 10 pick.
  9. I think banning the shift is ridiculous. They're professional hitters. Make an adjustment and if you can't they'll find someone who can. I don't remember seeing it written anywhere that Joey Gallo has to be a major league baseball player. If he can't get a hit with half the field open then maybe he's just a bad hitter. The player adjusts to the game the game doesn't adjust to the player.
  10. I didn't realize that Steven Kwan thing fell off a cliff. He's hitting .250. Dude must've gone 0 fer a month.
  11. I don't know just saying it could be a possibility.
  12. Maybe he's getting his shit pushed in against the tier 1 guys and beating up in the tier 2 and 3 guys.
  13. Your aunts personal problems aren't relevant here.
  14. What if Rocker needs shoulder surgery in a year?
  15. I really like Justin Campbell. That 12/6 banger is pretty.
  16. Crochet's injury (soreness) didn't require surgery.
  17. “I don’t agree with some of the hitting philosophies from the new guys,” Calhoun said. “I don’t process that (information) too well. I’m not 6-4, 230 pounds; I can’t hit pop-up home runs. I don’t have that leverage.” When I saw this quote from Calhoun it hit me like a ton of bricks. If the Rangers are looking for big guys who hit a lot of pop ups the Sox have their man.
  18. Gavin Sheets for Willie Calhoun
  19. It was the guy on the radio. I don't watch or listen to that stuff either but I was in the garage and too lazy to get up and turn it off. A blog told them what they wanted to hear and now they're clinging to it like grim death despite years of evidence that the blog is full of shit.
