  1. Come on. You're not really surprised.
  2. I still can't believe the Cubs just flat out released Schwarber. Eh thanks and all but we don't need you anymore. Buh-bye
  3. The QO is really stupid and needs to go away but probably won't this year. I think the Sox will offer the QO and Rodon will reject it. Rodon walked off the mound healthy in his last start and that's all he needed to do to secure a multi-year deal. It may not be for $100M but it will be more than enough for him to go back to drinking beer and playing video games all off season. The last thing he wants is another 1 year deal where he has to put in the work during the off season.
  4. It's hard to see a scenario where Kimbrel is on this team next year. It's really hard.
  5. The Dodgers traded a top of the rotation starting pitcher and an everyday catcher. The Sox traded an injured slapdick 2B and a generic middle reliever.
  6. Huge hit by Seager. The Dodgers can't let him get away this off season.
  7. I don't know, has it? I haven't seen anything on this year but I thought previous years babip has been fairly normal.
  8. You know there are a number of pitchers who do not like the defense to shift, right?
  9. The decision to trade him was made a while ago and when he got hurt (again) the decision changed to do they trade him while injured and still has some value or wait for him to come back and risk him losing a step he can't afford to lose and his value craters. They obviously decided to trade him while injured and get what the could. It was a good decision.
  10. The Cardinals fired Mike Schildt. Damn. That guy was great for them.
  11. Kopech doesn't have to throw 180 innings next year but there is no reason he can't throw 150. It's not like he's a 21 or 22 year old kid. He'll be 26. It's go time. There's no reason to hold him back. Hell with the way he pitches he'll probably be a five and dive guy anyway.
  12. Gav is playing himself out of my dream scenario. This makes me both happy and sad.
  13. He's 22 and just finished an entire season the the big leagues. I still think he's a high impact pitcher even in a bullpen role.
  14. I haven't heard any specific names. Again when teams do a deep dive on him they will see his stuff didn't suddenly fall off a cliff from the 1st half to the 2nd so there had to be another reason why he was ineffective. It won't take a rocket surgeon to figure it out.
  15. and Abreu, Grandal, Sheets, Berger. They all need time at 1B or DH because they can't be an everyday player at another position.
  16. The Dodgers will want in too. They'll have options.
  17. Too many redundant players. They have some tough decisions to make.
  18. The reason they traded for him was because he wasn't a rental.
  19. These playoffs have really sucked but at least the Brewers lost.
  20. Counsell just used Hader in the 8th to get thru the heart of the order and he gave up a bomb to Freddie Freeman. Interesting
  21. They desperately need to acquire a strong defensive catcher.
  22. If I'm the Astros this is a no brainer decision. Worst case scenario for them is the series going back to Houston. My undisputed ace is on normal rest. He's pitching.
