Was hoping for this. Cam is the real deal.

The Mets didn't know he was injured when they drafted him or negotiated the $6M signing bonus because he didn't submit a predraft MRI. He knew if he did it would raise red flags though most teams suspected he was injured. The Mets aren't getting the player they thought they drafted and Rocker wants to get paid like he's not injured. Gunnar Hoglund is injured and signed for $3.25M. If healthy he would have received a much higher bonus. Injured players take less money but Rocker thinks he's different.

They did but Rocker wouldn't take the haircut. The Rangers 2nd round pick Aaron Zavala also had something come up on his physical and he took the haircut and is now getting his career started while Rocker will sit on his brains for a year. It's always something with him.

That wouldn't work because everyone would try to game the system and become free agents. Being able to trade draft picks would help but not in this situation because no one would give value for Rocker right now. The Mets would still be better off with next years 11th pick over 50 cents on the dollar for Rocker.

God I love Rocker not signing. Now he says he's not going back to Vandy he's going to workout in preparation for the draft. In other words he's going to keep trying to hide hi imjury. I wouldn't touch that dude with a 10 ft pole.

They've been trying to trade him for a while. They figured out he wasn't the player they thought they were getting pretty early. I am a little surprised this is the deal they decided to pull the trigger on. My question is if they knew or thought there was a possibility they were going to trade him why didn't they go harder after Adam Frazier.
