TL called Madrigal "an artist"...he is very perceptive.?

I agree with you. Seems obvious but some people just have to be the glass half full.

Probably means they think Madrigal will be the better player.

Hindsight is always 20-20.

I agree. Expect an extension before OD.

With the Covid diagnosis to Jose..splitting 1st. base and DH duties seem a likely use of both players. Using Moncada as the prototype...I expect Jose to be back soon but very tired on a frequent basis.

Well, this just sucks. It might be the door opening for Vaughn splitting 1st base duties with Jose.

Absolutely agree!

Once again...I completely agree.

Hit some golf balls and see a couple of games...I'm in desperate need.

Openers are starters...and we have plenty of those.

I'm envious!

I think this team looks great right now and we have the money to buy needs if any become necessary. A little patience is needed to see if Katz has fixed some of these young guys. By most accounts we have one of the best teams in the AL.

Oh! Those seem like good reasons.?

And we still have ammo if needed after we see how this is all shaking out.

This staff was made for openers IMO.

It has gotten boring around here with no news...but really!

I have this jacket and wear it every day during the winter. You can't imagine the number of people who say "nice jacket" here in Michigan.

That's just plain rude. Try to control yourself.

I agree 100%.

What kind of fair contest allows a team to spend 5 times the amount of some of its competitors. Firm floor and ceiling limits need to be set asap.

I am not advocating Yermin as a backup catcher. Yermin would be my 3rd/emergency catcher until Vaughn comes up... primarily filling in as DH. I don't and never did want Yermin to catch in anything other than mop-up situations.

In a world that will have both leagues with DH in the not too distant future...he is a commodity worth something if we can showcase the hit tool. To call him a 3rd catcher is the same as saying DH with emergency catcher capabilities IMO.

Yermin is "my" third-string catcher and I would love to see him get a fair # of at-bats while giving Vaughn a chance to sign an extension. He is a prospect worth developing for trade value if nothing else.
