This is most certainly true. I still believe he has some limited value as the second piece in a deal. A second-tier NL team might like being prepared for the probable DH and Mercedes does seem to appeal to a certain type of fan.

I agree that when it comes down to Goodwin or Hamilton...Hamilton has those useful tools of speed and defense.

Doesn't work well for kids who threaten to run away from home either.

I think Eloy's bat and Engles/Sheets glove are better than Cruz's bat and Eloy's glove. I would also like to play Vaughn somewhere along with Burger on occasion. I like Cruz as a bat but he doesn't fit us well IMO. Also, Twins are going to get something back from us as well. Best to spend the money where we actually have need.

A great old German restaurant. I started going there maybe 60 years ago. Highly recommend it.

Sheets is also in the DH mix. If there is one position that we are set...it is the DH.

I agree, but since several lousy teams are among these leaders it makes a point that someone has to get on base. I will take a 25 home run guy who hits .300 any day over a guy who hits .220 with 40 home runs.
