Eloy is no where near Frank as a hitter. Franks K to walk was rediculously good throughout his college and minor league career. He was a bone dangerous hitter his whole career and one of the greats of all time. Eloy is not even on close pace with Frank but can be a very good hitter especially if he cuts down on the K's.
M's were 7-1 and then lost yesterday after having the lead. Expect them to come out with some smoke, hopefully we can put the fire hose on them early and take this one home.
In short: Maddon states he doesnt know all of information on the SS who supposedly was hitting his wife, which was true at the time. Theo then publicly says Maddon was insensitive.
On second thought, Ricky is really playing the lefty righty matchups well. Lets hope Yonder can get it going vs. Lefties so he can be moved up into a normalized spot at 4 or 5.
Why such a poor and strange lineup, none of our batter have even faced this pitcher before. Batters arent going to know their roles. Why is Yonder way down in the lineup?
Does Ricky make these lineups or is he pushed by someone else? Just wondering?
It's funny because just the other day I was daydreaming and thinking Madrigal came up and was awesome, and I was going to write in this board that I was going to get his jersey. Hope this daydream cines true!
Covey came to life last year in Charlotte as he posted a 2.33 ERA in 38 innings. Couldnt do the same in the Majors, but maybe worth hanging on to for now, unless there is a better player that needs to occupy the 40 man.
Ok, but this does not negate Renteria's bad move of not leaving in Nova and bringing in Covey and Fry with a 2 run lead in the 8th. There was more to blame than Covey in that loss. Not dwelling on it, but just pointing out a fact.
