  1. I'd give that up for 4 solid years of Dallas Keuchel.
  2. Is Robert a better Fielding CF then Engel? Not sure about that. Engel covers massive ground.
  3. Jay is supposedly a terrific clubhouse guy. I expect the Sox to get hot when he comes back.
  4. Imagine having the lead and going into the 7th inning with Herrera in the 7th, Colome in the 8th, and then Kimbrel to shut em down in the 9th. Dallas can lead us to many leads going into the 7th!
  5. I could at least find 15 better hitters Harper and Machado and they want the most money ever. I Still believe the Sox can win this division. I'm not scared to sign Dallas or Kimbrel.
  6. If the price is right I agree we should sign him. Him and Kimbrel. Everybody is mad we didn't sign 2 average hitters in Machado and Harper for outrageous money, when pitching(and defense) wins championships.
  7. Giolito ahead of hitters he does well, but when he falls behind he gets hit.
  8. Im looking to win now if it makes sense. If Osich is better than Frare then this is a good move, our pitching has been awefull, we need some guys that are reliable and can clamp it down. If they are the same then its not a good move. Frare was awesome in AAA Charlotte last year, so I do think we could have given him more of a chance. According to your logic we should demote and release Herrera and Colombe because of their age and bring up the guys that may play in 2022. Lets hope this is not greedy Hahn who wants to build up Osich to trade him. These are people not assembly line products!
  9. Listened to Sox Talk Podcast, the most recent one with Eloy. He seems like a special guy, and good guy. iI think and hope he is going to do well. He is becoming one of my favorites very fast.
  10. I'd send down to the minors. or fire any coach(no not Ricky or Coop), or anyone in the clubhouse that is participating in this mess of a losing streak, bad clubhouse guys, and I dont care if they are the best player on the team. We need good chemistry.
  11. Maybe the brother will be better than the Padres Tatis Jr. Tatis Jr. is only batting .214 16 k's 4bb.
  12. As they were saying on the Score this morning, there is nothing wrong with sending him down if he has options to let him work this out.
  13. I laughed at this but, having an attitude that "it's ok to lose" or to purposely lose, is against the game, and is from the devil. St.Paul is talking about real life but it can pertain to the game too. 1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win.
  14. Giolito says today on Edward Jones Chatting Cage that Sox major league pitchers are trying out pitches. Should this not be done at the minor league level not at the major league level? I tell you people inside this organization want to lose.
  15. Once again, I said he is not there yet, he needs some work, but the stats look good and will look better as he grows. I predict him to be a better ML hitter than more than half of our Active Major League roster right now.
  16. Sheets last season at Winston 437AB .293avg. .368obp 28 doubles 81k's to 52BB. The 6HR are the only difference in stats that is not close to Rondon's major league stats.
  17. Nice one, although I did say if Sheets works on it. The power will come for him and he as the good eye. If I were he I wouldnt be pressured by the organization to hit HR, just keep doing what he is doing and the power will come. Pressure to hit HR will only hurt a player.
  18. Its a pity, because Id rather have Rendon than Machado or Harper.
  19. No Anthony Rendon? Although if Gavin Sheets works at it, he can be an Anthony Rendon type of hitter.
  20. Good you bring a positive spin. I will give you one thing, Nick Madrigal is the best pure hitter in this organization. The problem I see is that the pick ups we make, even the little offseason moves, and the hitters we take, are strikeout kings, not good contact, they do have a little power, but overall not good hitters. But when you have Thome giving advice who was second all time in K's what do you expect.
  21. Narvaez was a good hitter, period. His K to walk was good. We could have made him into something special. The Mariners figured this out. Did we get Wellington Castillo for defensive purposes? Our judging talent is bad. We like the guys that hit for low average and K a ton, ala not very good hitters who do little to move runners over or get RBIs. In my opinion it's Thome and Steverson that wants these lousy hitters, and Hahn is the "yes" guy even though he knows it stinks. Honestly if they let Ricky manage and give him a say he wins the division this year.
