  1. Yattah Boyz #1! Hey don't they have a game thread post?
  2. Silly Bears. Howard complimented Cohen so we'll. Bears losing their mind, I don't think they make playoffs next season. Stupid to get rid of Howard.
  3. Looking forward to this season! It's opening day and I hope nothing but the best for this club. Hopefully we can get a reputation of playing hard, having fun, and winning, where teams aren't too thrilled to play against us. How long will Jay be out? Go Sox!
  4. Tatis Jr. Is one of the most over rated prospects. His K to walk is not good. Right now, he is not going to be a good major league hitter.
  5. We have many of these types of players. If we only have to pay him minor league salary I would nab him and let him play in the minors.
  6. When Happ first came in the scene I was thinking he would be a Ben Zobrist type but after his first 2 big league seasons he K's way too much where Zobrist can draw walks and doesn't K as much. So unless he changes things, he won't even be a poor man's Been Zobrist. A bullpen guy is what I would give up, but no young talent.
  7. Banuelos wind up looks like Quintana's. Good job boys, looking forward to seeing these guys pitch.
  8. I like the move for Moncada. Chuck Garfein on his podcast said something like Moncada will hit better with his move to 3rd base because playing second base takes alot of mental work, where 3rd is more of reaction which will help Moncada concentrate more on his hitting. Playing in a men's baseball league a few years ago I can confirm that 2nd base requires alot of work and thought and it wears you out compared to 3rd base. I played both positions all season.
  9. Ok I'm talking about hitting only, and Sanchez had better numbers than I thought since he has many doubles and triples. Mendick however is a better pure hitter than both Yolmer and Garcia. His k to walk is better, can hit for some pop, and is shining this spring. He can have the way for Madrigal.
  10. In my opinion, Mendick is a better hitter than Leury and Sanchez combined.
  11. This year Mendick will be our 2nd baseman, next year Madrigal, then Mendick to utility or OF.
  12. ? I'm looking at the same things. Santana, when I seen him vs. us, always gave us a hard time. It would be neat to see Mendick make this team. Looking at his minor league numbers, they are not too shabby.
  13. Alex Bregman is one of my favorite players in the game. Fantastic hitter, fantiastic swing, fantastic personality. Im looking forward to watching him for many years to come which hopefully will be a hall of fame career. God Bless him and his new deal.
  14. Ahh nice to sit back on the feast day of St.Joseph, drink a Zywiec, and enjoy the White Sox.
  15. I think Madrigal can be exactly what you say. A perfect #2hitter.
  16. Nice call, this kid has a better swing than Vaughn and Ward. Not as much power as Vaughn, but Id still take him over Vaughn, power can be developed as long as he keeps his approach.
  17. If we have the 3rd pick we should shoot for a Frank Thomas type player. At Auburn The Big Hurt had 153 BB to 53 K's. That flowed over into his MLB career where he had 1667 BB to 1397 K's. What a hitter!
  18. Shhh. good, keep it a secret, maybe we can get him in later rounds. ?
  19. If a kid hasnt learned how to walk and not strike out at the college level, I doubt good plate discipline and contact will flow into the minors and majors.
  20. Andrew Vaughn an impressive 44 BB to 18 K's in 2018. 20 BB to 8 k's this season so far.
  21. Thats what we did with Hawkins but we couldnt develop him. But watching Abrams swing is sweet, Kid looks like he has got alot of growing to do( I mean body wise, hopefully baseball wise too.)
