I had a concussion once from falling down the stairs and went to the doctor the next day when I was still unable to stand up after the MRIs and everything else, turned out I was having incredibly low blood pressure from - quitting smoking. Which is why I was fainting at the top of the stairs and falling down them -- but the doc knew to look for something when the MRIs showed clear - never understand a reluctance to go to the doctor - I don't want to me a suffering macho guy, I want to be the macho stud I am knowing I have no medical problems holding back my life! Something gets in my way, I check it out!

not true the Dallas players hate Cuban and his duplicity - something I have been hearing and there was a good sized article about it in the Trib the Sunday before New Years day - the players hate him - Cuban has won nothing as an owner but the contempt of the people who play for him

the idea that good news is someone will die escapes me other than everyone who thinks it is good for someone else to die, they will die too the last 4 seasons (00-03) were not our best years to go for it inthe recent past - that would have been 93-95. Now that is something to be angry about and I still am. But I can't b**** at JR now. Especially because for everyone who fails to pay attention to things, when JR did the USCF deal he extended the Sox lease at the ball park to go into the 2020s - 2023 I think but I could be wrong by a year or so - so that after he dies or no longer has a role to play in the Sox, the team will remain in Chicago JR did not have to do that - that was a damned good move - he saved us from moving when he bought the team and he took action to keep the Sox in Chicago when he is gone and whatever his other failings have been, every Sox fan owes him thanks and respect for that. Bashing JR is tiresome. Some new thoughts would be appreciated.

big deal, something happend 5 seasons ago so we should sign a player you don't want in the field because he once gave you a thrill? a spot on a 25 player roster is too valuable to waste on a guy who gave a thrill in 1999 why do people always want to go back to their old girlfriends? I have failed to make my point - Jose has played cf for us before - 18 games in 2001 including opening day, hit 271 and 3 homers playing center Jose played center - this is not so shocking - it was to keep him in the game with the new SS being Royce - of course Jose played a lot of 3rd too if he is being considered for CF again I would wonder why, but this is not unprecedented

he opened in center in what 2001? frm 2000-2002 he played on opening day in 3 different postions and 1 was center.

The Tigers can improve by 20 games and still lose 99. But about 2006 or 2007 they might be contenders. Or maybe a little longer. Nothing will happen overnight. We had our 106 game loss season in 1970 and while we flirted with contending in 72 briefly (all too briefly) it wasn't until 77 that we were in it to the fall. It might take them as long - they do have not much (to say the least) in the farm system, a few good young pitchers, not much else, and a very good GM and a manager who did get Manager of the Year vote(s) this last year (2003) and may be very good at what he is doing int time.
