now its too bad that the current administration refused to sign the war crimes tribunal an Iraqi tribunal might be interesting because the vast majority of Saddam's crimes against his own people, in terms expecially of sheer numbers of people killed, were with the silence against atrocities and support for Saddam's regime in the Reagan-Bush 1 years up until Kuwait - the unforgettable image of Bob Dole toasting Saddam on behalf of Bush in 1990 - the last major crimes against humanity being when Bush 1 encouraged the people to revolt, they did, and then the US did nothing as the Kurds and others were slaughtered in 1991 - if Saddam is allowed to present a defense as Milsosvic is, it could be a most interesting trial - the absolute expresion of the danger of getting what one wishes for - but then Bush 2 has shown a penchent for secret trials and detentions and for the above reasons as well as others this sews up no election for no one Saddam was not at the heart of the internal Iraqi resistence and nothing to do with al queda so if the public gets the feeling this ends everything, and when it ends nothing - might be very interesting

The 1997 game was so instense and we knew the season rode on that -

I was at the 2002 game - we got rolled - it was a 1 point game and Michigan was going for the lead, turnover, and the momentum swallowed us Iowa fans were actually rather uncool, not the Iowa fans of years past in 2003 Michigan lost by what, 3 points, and it was soley punting team miscues -- and in 2003, there was one team alone in first place in the Big 10 and it was not Iowa I have no disrespect for Iowa, they have been a tough rival for the last two decades and I have seen Iowa lose by 56 and I have seen them win but trash talk? Out of place for either school. I will happily take Michigan's over all record against Iowa any day, and our 4th place ranking in the polls and BCS, knowing we can finish as #2 this season, and while we lose Navarre and Perry and Pape I know what we have coming back next season - trash talk is out of line and I wouldn't bet on Iowa next season against Michigan and that is not Lloyd Carr's speaking cadence at all, not even a bad parody, that is just so totally off. No points at all.

I would love to see us sign Maddus - I hope this rumor is true - it would be great for our young pitchers, great for team attitude, gret PR, great way to stick to that minor league north side team as Maddux goes for 300, wuld bring fans to the park, etc - and Maddux may not care for the AL but it would be Sweet Home Chicago and maybe he doesn;t want to bat any more - this may be bulls*** but if it is true, I hope it comes true soon

I love wipeout - you either know or you don't or you have to think really fast - but at 2am that may be hard! the scence fiction game on Wednesday is the 2nd worst - it really is Deep Space Nine trivia - I know maybe 2 or 15 answers, the rest is like playing the lottery, just guessing - the real worst is also Wednesday, Passport, asking really obscure geographical questions for an hour - and people score 30,000 - either somewhere they are tipping off the country a few dats befor the game for diehards to cram, or, I just don't understand, or I am really, realy stupid
