after watching the Michigan games against Oregon and Iowa, and a good part of the game against Minnesota, trust me, I know how you are feeling - I feel your pain - and just saying this friend to friend - I don't normally care about the Miami-FSU game but knowing how dearly you love FSU, I was just sitting here knowing how it hurts to watch when it goes wrong and sending some good thoughts your way, and FSU's way...

if the Bears played 162 games they would finish the season at 6-156

I belong to a Joni Mitchell discussion list with a lot of working musicians on it - I have posted your query and will let you know what the responses are

I have always appreciated the way Sexson plays. He'd be a good addition to the Sox if we could get him at a decent cost.
-
PM me what name you are using there - I assume you are not 1549 - over there I am not cwsox either -
-
by the way, I am sure the Sox didn't draw at all tonight...
-
the fan base is very diverse - Chicago is home to a lot of people who grew up with soccer, not baseball and football - I am surprised they ahd a crowd like that with the baseball game but it is just another sign that not all of Chicago is swooning for the scrubs
-
curious - I could see a guy just recently fired having a little honest conversation with someone he knows - even knowing it might get out there - we know that Frank and JM have gone at it before - there is something about this that rings true thanks for the info!

oh yes it can, if the cubs win 6 more games I've almost come to accept that the Cubs are gonna win the world series. It's sad but I'm at that point. I'm prepared for it and if it happends I'll deal with it and move on. CWSOX45 I kind of feel the same way Michigan scored 31 points in the 4th quarter and won so what the cubs do means less and less to me anyway
-
stupid baserunning play and the Marlins lose -
-
the fourth quarter was great! what incredible relief... and for the 4th quarter, give Navarre the Heisman now! beautiful stats, wonderful stats, wonderful stats of life

let me say one thing here: for those who want to know what Roman-soxpolosion-psycho said, was that I am gay coke snorting pedophile and someone else added the thought that I am infected with AIDS whether I am gay or not is no one's damn business, nor is it my business what anyone else's orientation is, or favorite sexual activities, or whatever - the only ones to whom my private sexual life matters are myself, my significant other if any, and my God, and not any poster on any baseball message board. I do not do coke as in cocaine. In fact, anyone who has ever seen me at any tailgate, ball game, etc., will know what it is I drink: caffeine free diet coke. How many tailgates do I show up with my own cans of soda pop? (I do drink diet pop with caffeine inthe ball park because they do not sell diet caffeine free cola drinks, this in full disclosure.) I do designated driver at USCF all the time, at every game (I have maybe 3 total alcoholic drinks a year, usually one night a year; the last time was in December 2002 when my father had open heart surgery - I also had pizza that night, and I almost always avoid yeast, but he did just have open heart surgury and I was in the mood for pizza when I knew he was ok ). If I am so concerned about putting alcohol, caffeine, or sugar, even yeast, into my body, why would I do anything else? (Not one of you will ever be able to say you ever saw me eat candy, ice cream, funnel cakes, or any product with sugar, nor do I eat bread or any product with yeast [i eat the hamburger with no ketsup because of the corn syrup and throw the bun away, usually discreetly - none of you want my diet.]) Yes, I have smoked tobacco cigarettes, it is a bad addiction, nictoine, and I have quit, again. I am very concerned about what goes in my body. And with my sinus problems, snorting anything would be deadly. Now here is a question: why is anyone else concerned with what goes in my body? What goes in the body of any poster here? Is it the business of anyone else? Do we have drug tests for posters at soxtalk? How many here here would pass? Whose business is it of anyone anyway? As for having AIDS - that is a lie. As for being a pedophile - that is a God damned lie (intentional word choice) and my offense that anyone has said that is major, trust me. Now here it is: why should someone who ever has met me obsess with posting stuff about me on a baseball message board? There was not truth in psycho's post. This is a baseball message board. Can we discuss baseball? I hope I have answered the questions as to what was said. The question that all of you out there have to decide is what kind of board is this: a baseball board or a personal attack board. I have said all I am going to say on these things other than: thank you to my God for granting me strength and true friends and may God's love, grace, and mercy involve all of us.

THat was a question. Also, To ME, being called a ped isnt as bad as always telling me that im no good and not going to heaven and all that.....but whatever. I dont advocate what any of those people said, and ive made a couple mistakes of my own, but come one man, lets lighten up a little. you once again are a liar. No one ever said you weren't going to heaven. In fact, the opposite was stated, that you would receive much love from God and much grace. Your lies are astounding, just astounding. You are the king of personal attacks. And you are the master of lies.

Oh, people actually thought I was serious. I was kidding, I believe in God but I am not very religious. I just feel that organized religion causes more problems than it solves. JMO and I don't feel like getting in a religious debate sorry - I agree completely that organized religion causes more problems than it solves I don't feel like getting in a religious debate - neither do I rock on!

Death of Matthew Shepherd The Death Of Matthew Shepherd The murder of a college student named Matthew Shepherd would become one of the most famous examples of a hate crime in recent history. On October 6, 1998, Aaron McKinney and Russell A. Henderson entered a Laramie Wyoming bar which was known as a place where homosexuals often hung out. The two men left the bar with the company of Matthew Shepherd, who they drove to an open field. After being tied to a fence and beaten within an inch of his life, he was left for dead in the near freezing temperatures. The two men had also stolen his wallet and shoes. Eighteen hours later, he was found by two passing motorcyclists who thought at first that Shepherd was a scarecrow because of the way he was positioned on the fence. Shepherd was flown via helicopter to Poudre Valley Hospital (approximately a ninety mile drive in Fort Collins, Colorado) where he remained in critical condition for several days. Twenty-two year old political science student Matthew Shepherd devoted his life, his friends say, to the fight for human rights. He was a relatively small guy, and it was reported later that he had been beaten up on two previous occasions because he was gay. The more severe of the other two attacks had left his jaw broken the year before. Matthew had spend many of his growing up years traveling the world - mainly because of his father's job as an oil rig safety inspector. After graduating high school, Matthew settled in the area between Denver, Colorado (where he worked as a waiter and in retail stores) and Laramie, Wyoming where he went to school. He chose Laramie because that was where his father had gone. Three days later, four arrests were made in connection with the murder of Matthew Shepherd. This included Aaron McKinney, Russell Henderson and Chastity Pasley (who lived with Henderson) and Kristin Price - the later two arrested as accessories because they helped the two men dispose of the bloody clothes and helped cover up their crime. Police Commander Dave O'Malley stated that he believed that robbery was part of the motive since Shepherd's wallet had been stolen, but said that Shepherd was most likely chosen because he was gay. He told a reporter from the associated press that they had a few such hate crimes in Laramie, "But nothing anywhere near this." With Matthew Shepherd still in a coma at Poudre Valley Hospital, the political hoopla started full force. Gay Rights groups everywhere started calling attention to the fact that the Matthew Shepherd case demonstrated a need to adopt hate crime legislation - anti-gay groups started fighting this because they believed this meant gays would have some sort of special rights. It may be interesting to note that several days prior to Shepherd's beating, several anti-gay groups had begun public campaigns in the Colorado and Wyoming areas. This was also several days before National Coming Out Day - a day devoted to lending support for those who wish to come out of the closet as gay or lesbian. At 12:53 a.m., on Monday, October 12, 1998, Matthew Shepherd died as a result of his injuries with his family by his side. The Aftermath As Wyoming investigators tried to continue to build their case against the four people arrested for beating Matthew Shepherd (and covering it up) the news media was filled with as many stories as they could fit about Shepherd, gay rights, the military's Don't Ask Don't Tell policy, and other such gay related topics. The internet started to fill up with Matthew Shepherd related websites and memorials. His friends publicly cried out about the need for legislation. The National Youth Advocacy Coalition released a paper which included Facts About Gay Youth which included statistics like: 80 Percent of gay, lesbian, and bisexual kids report verbal abuse 44 Percent of gay, lesbian, and bisexual kids report threats of attack 17 Percent of gay, lesbian, and bisexual kids have reported being attacked. 66.7 Percent of gay, lesbian and bisexual youth were threatened/injured with a weapon at school in the past year 62.3 Percent of gay, lesbian and bisexual youth were in a physical fight in the past year The National Consortium of Anti-Violence Projects also released several reports. Many of these released information they had gathered involving hate crime statistics, but with the disclaimer that the figures were most likely extremely low since the victims of anti-gay hate crimes (weather legally designated as such or not) were not very likely to report their crimes in any official capacity. They also stated, however, that Shepherd's murder had encouraged many more people to report the hate crimes against them.

listen, you little piece of work - I am sorry I made a humerous comment about adopting you so you could go to all the games for which I had tickets The pm I sent said if you were going to cheerlead for hate, we would no longer be friends You are out of line in calling me gay when you know not what you are talking about but to call another person a pedophile - you have no decency, do you? You will reap what you sow, child.

Hey if you dont have a problem with what he says then I dont. My question is why is what EM says okay and not Roman? Em does not advocate violence against gays. Psycho does. Em has advocated defense of gays when they are attacked. Psycho is the attacker, he says. That is the difference.

marshall does air his personal life in his music and has often said it was the best way for him to work through it - and it was Mrs Mathers did sue him for everything he says about her - she lost, as every lawyer in Wayne County told her she would, since Marshall's defense was, he was speaking the truth and she is more than what he has said she is. I suspect without music as an outlet he would be a springer show guest or someone who shoots up the house or descended in drugs and alcoholic hazes - but he had the music as an outlet, is a very hard worker, and found a positive source to express his anguish and look at how many kids feel the same as he does, that sense of abandonment by parents who were more interested in doing their own things than raising their children - lot of kids feel as he does, that is something to consider. It is a damnation of my generation and the one right behind me for the way we raised, as a generation, our children. It is a message to those who still have kids in the home to do a better job that the millions of Mrs Mathers pn every album you also hear his love for his child - it is very moving stuff, and he is role modeling loving your kid for a generation, not walking away from the kid you sired but being an active father - God bless him for that

no, you don't know. So you assume motives as if you have windows to look into his soul, to "know" what goes on in the lives of people you do not know. I have reasons to know his motives and his feelings. I rest comfortable with what Em has to say, what he really says, what he is really about. You don't want to accept that about Em, then don't. Free country. My free country right to explore his works and him as a person and use contacts that I have (I know my way around the Detroit legal and music scenes) to find out more. I rest comfortable with what Em has to say, what he really says, what he is really about. That's why I took my grandson to see him and we can't wait until the next concert tour!

Marshall Mathers is not a hater, psycho, not a hater. I have cause to know. You are a hater. That is incredibly sad.

nice in terminlogy?????????? you have told us you call people f**gots and that it "doesn't mean anything" then you tell us of your hatred for gays and desire to beat up f**gots when you use the word f**gots which you admit you use, you use with the hate you admit you have go advocate more violence against gays and tell how you take God's word seriously you learned nothing from all the times I befriended you when everyone was calling you out, banning you board after board, hating you, and I stood by and defended you and named you as my friend maybe someday you will grow up but you are lucky I dont take you to a tattoo parlor and have windodj's post about your violence and what it means to people who are gay and have that tattooed on your ass as a reminder that maybe you should learn from others beyond your own prejuidices After all that you have said, all the violence you spoke of, we should feel lucky you haven't called us f**gots? I expected better out of you, I really did. You are a far deeper disappoint than the Sox. Get a Bible. Read it. You will find not one word in it about two guys having sex. You will read a lot about God's condemnation of hate and violence. All people are created in God's image, all people. Who are you to demean any of them, or call them names, or want to beat them up? Who are to assume the role of God? Let God deal with what God wants to, and you try living according to the words of Jesus: "judge not lest you be judged... love one another as I have loved you." And next time you are iun line and you think that your ass is so hot that some other guy is eyeing it - what ego by the way - and you feel violated, consider that when you do that to a woman, you are violating her the same way. But I doubt you are the object of desire of anything you fear and hate. I just really expected better out of you as a person.
