  1. thanks, Koch This! And I can post longer and longer posts until the idiocy ends!
  2. now my favorite Puccini opera is of course La Boehme - but anyone have other choices? Bravo is the customary term of applause, appreciation, and acclamation of an operatic performance. In that sense, ALL of the music of Giacomo Puccini deserves this declaration, especially Tosca, La Boheme, Madama Butterfly and Turandot. 4. Thank you. Exactly. If... then... but now we can rock and roll...
  5. sorry dude, you're my friend but on this you are wrong - KW needed to go and Einhorn deserves our thanks when this comes down and I want to see JM free to manage again without KW around
  6. Schueler who hired Bevington and chose to sign Navarro over Clemens? No thank you.
  7. Anyone could have managed that club. Everyone had career years. Valentin is a good player but he doesnt typically hit 25 homers with 92 RBIs. Everyone we had does pretty good but not as good as they did that year. If we had a manager who uses small ball to his advantage, wed win 95 games again. But with the unnaggressive schmuck Manuel at the wheel, who never uses small ball, we are maybe a .500 team, but probably not even... wrong. look at the pitching staff. hardly any of them pitched again.. got to give hm credit for what he has done. and with KW out of the way he can do it again
  8. Psycho, JM won a division title without KW around - and can do it again
  9. don't ever post that again, I almost threw up the worst GM we ever had was Hawk
  10. oh, call me young again - I enjoyed that so much!
  11. What team are you watching?
  12. anyone who wants to rap on Bud Selig is ok by me - someone on the Oakland As MLB board has a signature that says "Save MLB - Smoke Bud"
  13. agreed, at that point Ray was outpriced for us - I always had mixed feelings on Ray - I loved him sometimes and other times felt there could be so much more - he never fulfileld the potential that I saw - yet he gave us some great moments and while it was sadly time for him to go because of being over priced for what he offered, I will never trash him
  14. I am sure he did! As I was watching him, when he misssed the play - and there was no way he could have made it - I was thinking, great hustle, great try! and then he just laid there and the play kept happening -- runners running the bases, scoring, the ball being thrown into the infield - and D Lo laid there like a pouting child
  15. why do people say D Lo is lazy? Because I had no opinion of him until last saturday's game - Cameron (I think it was his at bat) smokes a ball by him, D Lo dived to try and make the play- that was cool - but then when he missed making the play he remained laying down on the field while Daubach fielded the ball and 7 other players were also playing baseball - but D Lo just laid there - so what if he is pissed off that he missed making the play - get the f*** back up and stay in the game - he just laid there - that I will not forget
  16. I am very unhappy with the offense - and Gary Ward, if anyone has to take a fall
  17. or he could have just been checking out the scene there in his role as GM who knows
  18. have you ever been to Wrigley Field?

thanks witesoxfan - I have read your review carefully and appreciate it - you are liking the Dolphs' prospects more than I, so I am glad to read your words of optimism. Thanks again for your time and insight and information.
  20. PK gets a hit - maybe it will be the start of something - we can only hope at this point - a 5 run inning would be so nice now
  21. by what basis does anyone say that if the Sox lose tonight, smeone gets fired that you want fired - has JR told you that? or EE? No - in your own opinions some should get fired and you think a loss will do t - I very much doubt that JR is reading these boards and being convinced by you. A loss will be another loss and you all are rooting against the Sox bceuse you root against the Sox becuae you have no reason in reality to think that anything will happen with a Sox loss other than we drop under 500. Is it JM's fault Colon is serving gopher balls? Sorry. I cannot respect anyone who roots against the Sox. To do so on the grounds that you just guess that something might happen if we lose, with that guess being based on no reality other than what you want, is as silly as the reasoning.
  22. I cannot respect anyone who roots against the Sox under any circumstances
