If the 49s had fired him sooner, he might have taken the Michigan State job, where he'd be with his best friend from high school days, Tom Izzo. But the job was already filled by Louisville's coach. I bet he will take a year off. The Bears could use him. So could the Dolphins.

and besides what HSC and GUG have posted here and there - and everyone knows they are close to the Buehrles, and what Ncorg posted on MLB and he has front office connections - I have also heard from the Buehrles otherwise - so that is the best confirmation that I can offer publicly. If that is not enough, I can't do more, sorry about that. But I am very certain as to this being the truth, knowing the Buehrles enough to know they are straight shooters.

This is the quote from the close Buehrle relative as posted on the MLB board and I can't say more than that at this moment without violating confidence: "For one, KW is not negotiating with Mark. The Sox have a person on staff just for that. Mark does have an agent, not a lawyer. The reason Mark hasn't signed is because the contract offered by the Sox is basically the same as last year. It's like offering a kid two quarters one year and five dimes the next. I can say this with 100% accuracy of the facts...not fiction and you know I can." The difference in the "basically the same" was the MVP bonus thing.
-
same numbers as last year plus the $10,000 MVP bonus, and last years number was $300,000 something, not sure of the exact amount at the moment but someone will know
-
In other words - maybe 3 times what KW offered Buehrle --
-
If that's regarding me.....I don't mind. Just let them know that Mark is the man, and don't let anyone forget it either. That was regarding you and the Buehrles are reading your post right now... yeah and I let them know...

Have to agree with all the good words about Robin. The number 23 means one player to me, and those initials are RV. I was very unhappy when we screwed over Robin (thank you Ron Schueler :fyou ) and lost a great 3rd baseman. Psycho, you are my friend but you have gone over the top on this one.

As they say in the media, a spokesperson for the Buehrle family confirmed it to me today, this afternoon. Other than that, the rest of it was laid out in my thread - take it to Rodgers, this is solid information.
-
damn it boy, what a great post! Thank you! I enjoyed reading that and I am going to send it to the Buehrles if you don't mind!
-
Spoken like a typical brainless neanderthal who thinks because he has two balls between his legs he knows everything about the game.
-
And in KW's view, that was offering our ace the same as last year's contract, in the $300,000 range. Oh, and with a $10,000 bonus if MB win AL MVP.

when do we all hold hands and sing Kum Bi Ya? Kenny's an asshole Lord, Kum Bi Ya Kenny's an asshole Lord, Kum Bi Ya Kenny' an asshole Lord, Kum Bi Ya, Get rid of him, Kum Bi Ya. We need a pitcher Lord, Kum Bi Ya, We need a pitcher Lord, Kum Bi Ya a good lefty reliever Lord, Kum Bi Ya, whose signed for the next 10 years. Make Carlos catch the ball, Kum Bi Ya, make Sandy's knees hold up, Kum Bi Ya, let Mark win 30, Lord, Kum Bi Ya, and shove it up KW's ass.

Then there are two Winning Ugly's in the world - the other one is a very attractive and knowledgable school teacher in Milwaukee - and you stay home then The Milwaukee WU is a fox and I love to sit by her!
-
read my thread, my first post in that thread, on the offer again. KW implied that he offered something to MB that he did not offer. What KW offered was the same as last year's offer, essentially. It is all there in that thread.
-
WU!!!!!!! Good to see you here!!!!!!! Day off today? Are you coming to SoxFest? We haven't talked in too long of a time.
-
The point is psycho is that KW did not, repeat, not offer MB $3,000,000 a year - KW offered MB a little more than $300,000 a year, the same offer as last year. That is why we are so hot at KW. MB did not reject an offer of $3 mil, he rejected the same offer as he had last year. For KW to even offer that is a gross insult to MB.

built up a quallity farm system and Schueler's recommendation

don't know enought about levya to have an opinion but I do like his quote from Philadelphia: "I'm going to Radio Shack to buy one of those headsets like the broadcasters use. It seems as soon as you put them on, you get 100 times smarter."
-
no, just "scum bag."
-
I'd agree for the grounds you state. Injuries - as we sadly know - happens and best to be prepared rather the trying to find someone when the need arises.
-
i thought it was already that way I'd tend to agree -- did you get the UM cd to HSC? I am anxious to see it and very grateful to you - are you coming to SoxFest? I think a ticket for any day can be located....
-
NO!!!!!!!! to Evans, I haven't been impressed with his total record. We get a new GM, lets not rehash the past, let;s get someone new with no baggage. A wild, wild thought - Cal Ripken wants to be GM and got screwd over by the Os. Now wouldn't that be interesting if we could get him...

these things are so subjective - but it gives us a trend, not a statistical certainity, and that is low and it hurts. But I hope management sees that and takes it as call to work on some things.
