I never even heard of the damn thing, what is it?

    My Webpage

I liked it, thanks for sharing. Always nice to see the famous gif.
  3. and how is it a Sox fan in Iowa is picturing the QB of the future, Detroit's Joey Harrington? I happen to be one of those who think Joey is the real thing and it may even make a Lion fan out of me - or maybe not quite, but certainly a Harrington fan...
  4. which database program you suggesting? I am very new to palm pilot ownership.
  5. There are no limits to the numbers of young Americans that I am willing to have die in war, as well as no limits to the number of Iraqis that I am willing to have die in war, to liberate Iraqi Oylmpic athletes because of a report of the mainpage of ESPN, good enough for me, start the war now!!!!!! And just because the Defense Department has reinstated its supposedly abolished department of dis-information is no reason for me to doubt the veracity of these reports. After all it makes sense. We would surely not go to war against a secular Iraqi regime because of the acts of religious Saudis (ala Bin Ladin and Al Queda and the terrorists of September 11th) without good cause - and since Bush and Chehey swear it is not about oil and why would those two paragons of honesty lie - it now makes sense. We go to war to save Iraqi Olympic athletes! The lives lost and bodies permanently criplled will be a small, small, small price to pay so that the next Olympics can have a larger Iraqi delegation.
  6. For the love of God, YES, YES, YES, a million times YES, I have been hunting all over for a palm pilot downloadable schedule, please, do it, and do it now, and having a downloadable roster plus whatever extras you might come up with would be sweet beyond words --

    So much for a reunion

Rest eternal grant Joe Strummer O God, and let light perpetual shine upon him. __________________________ Now the king told the boogie men You have to let that raga drop The oil down the desert way Has been shakin' to the top The sheik he drove his Cadillac He went a' cruisnin' down the ville The muezzin was a' standing On the radiator grille [Chorus] The shareef don't like it Rockin' the Casbah Rock the Casbah The shareef don't like it Rockin' the Casbah Rock the Casbah By order of the prophet We ban that boogie sound Degenerate the faithful With that crazy Casbah sound But the Bedouin they brought out The electric camel drum The local guitar picker Got his guitar picking thumb As soon as the shareef Had cleared the square They began to wail [Chorus] Now over at the temple Oh! You know he really hates it.
  8. I agree with what Heather said. These boards have worked just fine for me and why change but if there is a reason to, do what you think best - nice of you to ask though, and give us samples!
  9. You know, a lot of people follow Division III, and why the hell does it matter to you if someone posts about it just because you don't? I could ask who gives a f*** about Creighton, or whatever school you follow. Has your school ever even made the Sweet 16 - before or after the NCAAs were expanded? My school has won 5 national titles. And that give me the right to feel good about it - your opinion notwithstanding. The fun is following a school that you care about, and being a fan of what and who you love. And I have been in the stands when my alma mater, Nancy Faust's alma mater, won the NCAAs, twice, and it makes no f***ing difference whatever level it is, when your school wins the NCAAs and you are there, it is a thrill beyond words. I would never knock your school for being a low level Division 1 that will never fully compete with the big schools even though you play in the same division. I hope you cheer for your team because you are a fan, and respect others who do the same.
  10. Oh, foolish empty braggarts. Only 1 Illinois team has ever won more than 1, for a total 5, NCAA basketball championships and that it mighty North Park, who is 9-1 this season and possibly poised for another. No school has ever won more NCAA basketbll championships than North Park except UCLA, which is why North Park is known as the UCLA of Division III. Nancy Faust and I are proud of our alma mater, the only basketball power in Illinois.
  11. No diss on husky, just looks like a badly groomed Samoyed. I raise Samoyeds and that is no husky. Look a picture of a husky and compare.
  12. If you actually produced a douchebag that f***ed, you might have a market sensation on your hands! You expected fair officiating at Lambeau Field for what reason, exactly?
  13. more colorful than awesome, but that is semantics. And it leaves me feling very sorry for the goats and wanting to call in PETA. That Wanny is employed, I think he blows GMS and owners.
  14. What is the deal with the UConn huskie (which looks like badly groomed Samoyed) and the UConn player? You a student there?
  15. I have been a Dolphins fan since they came into the league. I know nothing about Wannstedt and goats, but I was sure not happy when he became the Dolphins coach. I expect nothing as long as he is coach.
  16. I agree. I never believe a Wannstat (spelling, intentionally more or less) coached team can win in December and I watched the game, watched the kick, watched Carter, and said, that's it for 2002.
  17. I can easily agree with all of that. It is the McNabb "is s***" comment that I reacted to.
  18. In that in the 2001 playoffs, McNabb wiped the field with the Bears and then stomped them under the turf and exposed all their weaknesses, and since all the Bears have to answer with is WeakMiller and WeakerChandler, we can understand why NcNabb "is s***." Envy takes strange forms. McNabb on the Bears would have at least doubled the Bears win total in 2002. But that ain't ever going to happen - that is, NcNabb will never be on the Bears who will never double their win total.
  19. 1. Mary, the Mother of Jesus, now there is someone with an arm. She would have made a hell of a right fielder! 2. Fick may be more versitile than CLee, CLee can't catch, but Fick can't all that well, but Fick is dumber than CLee, in my opinion having seen both play a lot and never having administered an IQ test to either. 3. I'd just as soon keep CLee unless we can get a good pitcher with him as trade bait and then make Liefer put up or shut up. 4. Supan - whatever spelling - now there is a free agent to go after, as HSC says. As much as she is lusting for him, I presume not only is he a good player but she also likes his butt. Anyway, he is worth whatever it would take to sign him and try him.
  20. That playoff game (was it 35-7 or something at one point?) would be the game... You will recognize my vehicles in he Comiskey parking lot this season - they are ones with the "Bomb Iraq? No!" bumper stickers. Next to the "My Son is a Marine" bumper stickers.
  21. He had maybe one significant hit all year, and that was in how many at bats - and his fielding is none that good, his catching sucked enough the wouldn't let him do it anymore and he has nothing to offer in the outfield. Hope the Yankees do sign him. Weaver needs a buddy, someone who understands losing as well as only anohter ex Tiger can.
  22. Nothing surprises me so much as a Dave Wannstedt coached team in 1st place in December. There are many quarterbacks in the NFL, but none of them play in Miami. I have no idea how the Dolphins are doing it. The Bills have always been ok by me except when we play them. Not like the hated Jets and the hated Baltimore Colts of the ancient past. I must admit to a growing affection for the Pats, but only because of Tom Brady, who I loved at Michigan. I don't swear at Ty Law anymore like I used to, who I have never forgiven for causing UM lose to Colorado in 1994. And I must be getting old, in that I used to understand the NFL tiebreakers but don't anymore. My favorite Bills game was THE victory over Houston. Damn, am I old, that was a long time ago now. And I have always felt sorry for Scott Norwood.
  23. I dislike Fick. I live in Michigan and have seen him play a lot. He is not very good. I mean, when the Tigers release you, what does that say? He just is not that good, not at all. He is one player that I do not want to see waste a roster spot on the Sox, he is not worth it, despite his (false) persona that he has some great attitude. He is a lousy ball player and the good attitude thing is all a facade. Actually, I dislike intensely very few ball players but Fick I do. Again - let go by Detroit who has nothing? That says it all.
  24. Who is in 1st place in the AFC East is a more interesting question.....

    Christmas gifts

When I was a kid, the house 3 doors away was rented by Cubs players in the summer aed Hawks players in the winter. The Cub players were nice, but at an early age I figured they were yahoos. The Black Hawk players were all assholes. And Wirtz and family are assholes. And because of the sellouts at the Stadium, they never wanted nor desired my support - like the cubs now, why build a winner when fans come like Pavlov's dog? Any lingering affection I might have had for the Hawks was done in when Bobby Hull was driven away. I am a fan of none of my very earliest childhood teams. I grew up in a cubs family and went my own way. Not a Bears fan - everything I said about Wirtz was true for the Halas' in my youth, plus the Bears played at Wrigley and I like nothing that played at Wrigley. I turned away from the Bulls when they drafted Quentin Daly (spelling). I have never been to Joe Louis and probably never will get there. I've seen the Red Wings on the bottom and I've seen them on the top. It is a natural rivalry between Chicago and Detroit because of the geographical proximity and that both were original 6 in hockey, and go way back in baseball and football. If Red Wings fans were assholes at the Stadium in the past, I don't know. I doubt that Black hawk fans in Detroit behave any better; I know that Bears fans tend to be almost (key word, almost) as boorish as the Packer fans when they come to Lions games. Last spring, watching the Stanley Cup finals, we here all knew that everywhere in the other 49 states people were hating us and pulling for Carolina or whoever we beat. And it was neat, really, because f*** off rest of the world. Best team money could buy - and yet we wish the Sox ownership would spend money as freely. Too old to win, to keep it going - Bowman did a masterful job of keeping the team fresh and there were some marvelous, gutsy performances by players who were hurting. "Hockeytown" is offensive? I have lived in Chicago for 25 years and Michigan for 25 years and I can tell you that hockey is taken far more seriously here than in Illinois. Illinois will never come close to supporting as many hockey teams at all professional levels as Michigan does. And name me one college team in Illinois that is better than club status, while MSU and UM play to 80,000 in an exhibition game, and we've got Ferris, WMU, LSSU, and Northern all playing at the highest level too. But the Red Wings are no big deal for me, really (although the only non Sox gear I have ever worn to Comiskey was last year during the SC finals). I live and die by two teams: White Sox baseball and UM football (and to a lesser extent, UM hockey). And the Sox are my greater love. I don't have anything against Black Hawks fans nor the Black Hawks. The Red Wings big rival plays in Colorado, not Illinois. But the Wirtzs can shove it all, they have to be among the worst family owners ever, ever, ever. The Red Wings, despise them as you will, played hungry last year and won it all. That I respect. The Black hawks haven't played with passion since the early 60s, other than games in which Tony O played, and that was a long time ago. I am surprized that anyone would compare cubs fans and Red Wing fans though. Maybe some personal stories there, I don't know. That is just a harsh comparison to my ears, in part because it includes me, and I just haven't seen it. Cub fans are in a category to me that includes Yankee, Red Sox, Ohio State, and Notre Dame fans (hi, credefan!) except worse. If Red Wing fans have been obnoxious to you guys, well, that would/could explain it. Just a historic rivalry, ok, although no one here pays the Hawks too much mind. One of my few good memories of 2002 will be game 5 of the SC finals, the party my neighbors had, how good it was watching the Red Wings win it all (again) perhaps for the last time in a while. It was a full house and we had a great time and the last five minutes were a thrill unto themselves. I surely hope that we as Sox fans get to have that same experience many times - and for you Black Hawk fans, I hope you have it too some day. It is a great sports thrill and I hope you get to have it - at least as long as we keepiong winning it 3 outr olf every 6 years, you can have it in one of our off years! :-) But I do hope you get your SC thrill some day. It is great!
