  1. Thanks for the info on Meaux. Now what is the word on Edwin Almonte? I know I look stupid in asking, but whose roster is he on right now? I am having trouble tracking him on the MLB site.
  2. What does anyone know about Ryan Meaux? His stats look fabulous, lot of saves and great BB to K ratio, but a little old maybe for A -what is the word on this guy?
  3. of course we do - you don't even need to ask -
  4. I agree the time was for Crede and Perry unfortunately was a casualty. This Corey Lee seems to not have left much of a mark anywhere. Those who know better, did he have a future? Didn't look like he had one with us - not that it looks like he has one with the Yankees either.
  5. really missed this place when it was down, very glad the boards are back, new and improved! Change the format for membership dates, I want mine to read 6-9-02 rather than 6 September 02
  6. Maybe KW will sign them both

The emergence of Buehrle was a total surprise to me. You think he'll throw a no hitter? Would be great and he deserves one. Yet, someone I see a no hiotter being tossed by a hard throwing pitcher. I can someone see Biddle doing it id he can play 8-9 straight innings and he is in a groove. I tend to see Buehrle with Cy Youngs more than with no hitters. But let him have both! I'd love it!
  8. Putting cheese on potatos makes them au gratin. I thought you damn Micks knew everything about potatos. What mp3 player would you recommend and from where should I get it and are their free downloadable ones or should one spend some $$? Please advise this technologically challenged person.
  9. how can we get this cuddyer away from the twinkies and into silver and black?
  10. What Heather really wants is have Carlos Lee, wearing only a throng, jump out of a cake and do a lap dance for her. Not an attractive picture for some of us, but if we give you Maggs in a cake while Heather has CLee in a cake, everyone would be content. Now in my cake...
  11. I'd like to have a picture of John Navarre, #16 of the Michigan Wolverines, with my signature. Pictures of him can be easily found at http://www.mgoblue.com/ But I have no idea and not the software or hardware or knowledge of how to get a picture from there into my signature. Can some kindly person do this for me? Do I have to pay $ under the table or anything?
  12. I think that Rowand is a fine 4th outfielder. I also do believe that he could be the starting CF on a championship team. It would depend on the rest of the line up, of course, he is not going to carry the team, but he can contribute well to a well functioning team. And I just suspect that maybe perhaps this year the Sox will function well. Yes, I am delusional. But still optimistic.
  13. Good to see your picture signature back too. What is with the toy car? You like Hot Wheels or something? (I am now ducking before you swing at me... )
  14. thank you for all your work on doing this

So does JR. So does KW. And while I have the love for Boras that I feel for all of God's children, I really despise him as a players agent for anyone we want to sign.
  16. thanks for the information - I don't want to believe that the twins have any good players but it appears they do - but he'll never be as good as Mags, exactly right!
  17. There is like no conversation at all about the Daal signing on the Os MLB board, but then, it appears as if it is a very quiet place anyway. I thought Angelos was going to be a better owner. He has to be one of the worst ever.
  18. I'd feel bad for any community that loses a franchise and the Expos took a bigger hit with the 1994 lock out than we did. That said, if the Expos do move, it shouldn't be to DC. They have already lost 2 teams. If they do move, and again, I'd feel badly for the Montreal fans since I know how I'd feel if we lost our Sox, I think it would be a lot of fun to see them in Puerto Rico full time if they have to move at all.
  19. Tell me about Cuddyer. I am not really familiar with him. I looked uop his stats for 2002 and saw he hit 259, and obviously witesoxfan and chicsoxfn see something more than that in this guy, so tell me about Cuddyer. (I am not being sarcastic when I ask this, I really don't know anything about the guy and am intrigued to see him get two good reviews.)

    Jets

They will. They are playing no one today.
  21. Who was hitting the ball better, you or Cuddyer?

So the Os are paying 3.75 million a year for a pitcher who has a 19 loss season... much better them than us! We can re-sign Ritchie for a lot less money than that to lose that many games. As the Os other FA signing was Deivi Cruz, it looks as if the Os want to start 2003 as they finished 2002 - going 4-32. Mike Bordick is probably doing handsprings that he escaped the walking diaster that is the Os.
  23. Illini fantasies are so cute! The Big 10 is at the top now, 5-2 in the bowls, and Illinois played in none of those bowl games - even when Illini wins something in the Big 10 they can't beat Michigan, nor win their bowl games (remember the Sugar Bowl?). It will be between Michigan and OSU next year for the Big 10 title - as usual - they have their offensive line back, and we have the returning veterans we need.
  24. That was the frosting on the cake (I am going with a munchie reference here...) A little inhale here and there would be overlooked if he had any friends left. But he didn't.
