Great first half for Illinois!!!! Started out sluggish, but got it together, and Deron Willliams had a huge first half. Rafferty was giving Deron Williams (Colon's son ) all kinds of hype! Hopefully Izzo doesnt give an emotional speech at the half and the orange and blue can get closer to the big 10 lead. GO ILLINI!

Um... The Chief?? Oh, side note for this game, Bruce Weber will do what Self did last time this year, pull out the size 44 Orange Blazer in spirit of paint the hall orange night. I think Weber might actually look better than Self in it too!

Just got done watching the 1998 battle they had in Lansing on ESPN Classic, not to good, we blew a 20 point lead and lost by 4. But tonight we have to get an inside presense going with Augustine and Powell. Because i believe this will be a low scoring game, and Mich State will shut down most perimeter shots. It would be nice if Dee played like he did against Minnesota, and Deron too. Dont miss any more bunnies Roger, and I have a feeling Nick Smith might be the hero again tonight, he seems to be the guy that steps up at the end. My prediction: Illinois 62 Mich St 59 GO ILLINI!

Not only that, but the only time anyone will be stuck sitting behind one of these poles is what, during the Cubs series in June? I can only hope that other series will be sold out, but thats to say we are doing good. Im kinda upset we are playing the Yankees so early at home, because it will be pretty damn cold in April and that is one of the most popular series we play.

I dont know about that, since they only got 5 votes in the coaches poll, and 40 votes in the AP(which makes them about 35th overall), but what i do know is that if they sweep the next 2 games at the Hall, (State tomorrow, Badgers next Wed) we will be in 1st place in the big 10. Just remember who gave Duke their only loss, a Big 10 team... Purdue in Alaska! Although, then the ACC mopped us up 2 days later, but I like to forget such times. Anyway, Purdue is a completely different team with Booker out for the year, and Lowe hurting now.

Pittsburgh looked horrible in both overtimes, and the only reason they scored at all that 2nd OT was because of an offesive putback off a miss, and an airball (best play in basketball, nobody expects it) that they picked up. They had way too many turnovers, and Setan Hall just wanted it more. And wow, is Andre Barrett a leader, he took over that game, execpt for the fact he was 1 for 3 at the line in the clutch, but the 1 FT is what won it...

Interesting, Bookout is out for the year for Oklahoma.... and Booker is out for the year for Purdue.... I dont know, im bored here, but i see a connection...

Dont be forgetting your Big 12 either, they could legitimatly have less teams in then the big 10. Oklahama is playing horrible right now, so i would say right now that Kansas, Texas Tech, Texas, and Oklahoma St are the only sure ones right now. Anyway, I like how Illinois dropped to an 8 seed in the latest bracketology after getting back to back road wins. So maybe if we lost to the Spartans tomorrow we'll go back up to 7. Yes yes, i had a talk with Carlos in 2002 telling him that he had to make a one webgem a week and only hit into 5 double plays. Then i forgot to tell him about last year. Yeah, that was good times today! I knew we would come back after being down 15, i didnt think we'd do it before the half. Dee and Deron had very nice games, but i was most impressed with Jack Ingram in the 1st half. He was playing his ass off for the minutes he got, and even got 2 baskets. Go Illini... So i take it not to many want this trade to happen or that since its most likely not going to happen, who cares? Because I personally would like to see this go thru, because Koch, even with Oakland 2 years ago, had more blown saves than any closer should have, and that was when he was throwing 100 MPH. He just got bailed out everytime he blew one and ended up with 10 wins i believe in 2002. Im thinking Griffey is a risk, but we do need a CF, and his defense would help tremendously, i just would feel bad for Rowand not playing. (Unless of course the "move Carlos to 1B, Rowand to LF" thing happens, but i dont see it.

Personally DBAH0, i think we might keep Quincy as the starter next year, because unless Parcells tries to revive Testeverte from the Jets, or how about Payton Manning , i think Quincy will be the man again, even though everyone is saying Parcells wont give him another shot.

I think the Lions and Bengals should get the first 2 picks every year until they make the playoffs. Its not fair they suck every year.
