  1. I don't doubt that, but he is one of the most coveted FA's of this offseason. I doubt he'd take less money, and end his career on a team that isn't contending any time soon.
  2. Unless they blow him away with a monster contract, no. He won't go to Detroit simply because Hinch is there.
  3. Did anyone else notice the shakiness of Hahn's voice at the beginning of the presser yesterday? He seemed very nervous/uncomfortable
  4. It's real. Just pulled up the email from White Sox. Maybe in your spam?
  5. "Mired in mediocrity" is a very nice way of putting it lol
  6. This might just be Stone's way of saying Tom Richardson's opinion will not impact the hiring process.
  7. I think it's a fair question. They have to do their due diligence, and that can't really happen yet for the reasons you've listed.
  8. If you believe Stoney on Twitter, LaRussa, Bochy and Hinch are the only three candidates he doesn't shoot down.
  9. But if they're likely to lose their value soon, who would want to give up a quality pitcher for them? This was a weird deadline. More contenders than normal, so less sellers.
  10. I did somewhere. Shocked he's not getting mentioned more. I've also heard he wants manage again. https://www.mccoveychronicles.com/2019/10/24/20931249/where-will-bruce-bochy-manage-in-2021-not-retired-but-sabbatical-sf-giants-dodgers-padres
  11. I'm not totally against Hinch, but every manager/potential manager should be frothing at the mouth for this job. Is Hinch really the best option? Over Bochy if we could get him?
  12. A- so far, but this offseason is big. He’s gotta land a TOR SP and a RF that hits righties. A trade for SP at the deadline this year didn’t make a ton of sense. Imagine giving up a couple promising young players and then the season ends up cancelled.
  13. Not a terrible idea assuming there's a minor league season next year.
  14. Yeah, I kind of agree. He'd be an upgrade, but I would prefer a contact hitter for balance.
  15. I think you're right. We need a TOR arm, and Kopech doesn't automatically make the rotation opening day. I'm ready to let Lopez become someone else's project though.
  16. I agree with almost everything you said, but getting Bauer is exactly what we need. Imagine having Wheeler this year...Game changer
  17. At the very least, the next decade will be much more fun to watch than the previous.
  18. I don't think yesterday's loss is on Ricky, but plenty of others were. We need a new manager. The Sox are gonna be a powerhouse for the next 5 years, and we can't have this guy kneecapping the team. When you have the MVP on your squad, you lock him into the 3 hole. There are 8 year olds on MLB The Show that can construct a better lineup than Ricky. This was a season long issue, and it seems like people have just accepted it. Imagine OAK getting through the 1st without facing Abreu. BP mismanagement was glaringly obvious that series vs CLE. This team began to gel because they were dominating. They were dominating because they're immensely talented players, not because Ricky is a "great clubhouse guy".
  19. I think they would've kept Vaughn in the minors for service time reasons, even if they thought he was ready.
