SIU Salukis defeat Indiana
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 08:09 PM) That was the team that went to the Sweet 16, that was the most exciting season in Saluki history. I will never forget watching the Salukis come back from being down 30-11 to Georgia in the second round of the tournament in Chicago. They spanked the Bulldogs that day, spanked Bobby Knights Texas Tech team two nights before, and gave Uconn a run for their money before bowing out against the Huskies(A team with Ben Gordon and Emeka Okafor on it, among others). Yeah, Caron Butler hurt us with a couple of shots late in the game. My SR year, SIU made some noise in the NIT. Figures I would miss the great season of 01-02. I'm gonna try and get down there for the 12/20 game at the SIU Arena against Central Michigan this year if I can.

SIU Salukis defeat Indiana
I really have nothing against Indiana. This is huge for Kill and Co. I'm sure Indiana fans remember the Salukis beating the Hoosiers at SIU Arena a few years ago. SIU b-ball is going to be top notch. They should be ranked top 15, at least top 20. Go Dawgs!!!

Big Hurt's revenge
I'm pulling for Frank as well, but this is a non story. WE WON THE WORLD SERIES WITHOUT HIM!!! I'm tired of people saying how bad it would look if we miss the playoffs and the A's make it. That is so far off. It looks bad that we don't make the playoffs on ourselves.

Norm MacDonald riffs on the Croc Hunter
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:37 AM) I've always thought Norm is one of the most underated comics. I was one of the people who liked his show. But his 15 minutes were up awhile ago. But yes, that was funny. Stewarts reaction is good as well.

Ozzie likes Mack in center
Did not get to see last nights game but was listening as Mack missed that catch on a dive attempt. Would BA or Sweeney have caught it?

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:19 PM) Pats improve to 4-0. I'm still waiting for Stevenson to play a good team. They only beat Mundelein by 14 and should of blown them out. It's safe to say I'll be a Lake Zurich fan when they play Stevenson.

Excuse me while I remove my foot from my mouth....ok. Lake Zurich beat Libertyville. Kudos to them. I underminded them and they are the real deal. Now looking forward to them vs. Stevenson.

Catch-All Anything Thread
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 06:15 AM) So tonight was the first time in a good 3 weeks that I fell asleep before 4 am and our dorm ends up having a f***in fire drill at 6 am. Unbelievable. Memories. Living in Neely, I was on the 3rd floor while I had buddies way up on 17. They always wanted to stay in my room til the elevators got functional but I refused because they would drink all my beer from my fridge. One year, it got pulled or went off so much that I would wake up in the middle of the night thinking it was going off.

They were both awesome wrestlers. I say Rude was the better heel simply because he was never a face. Perfect was very over as a good guy as well back in the day.

Minnesota Twins Post Mortem Playoff Thread
Brantley is far from a doctor, but being an ex pitcher, I would expect him to know something about arm injuries. He said he did some research and thinks this elbow thing could be bad and Liriano could miss up to a year and a half. I really hope that is not the case. But Tommy Jon surgery means at least one year and it looks like Liriano is at least headed for that. Very unfortunate.

QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 01:44 PM) So I had the easiest day of classes ever today. When I get to my theatre class there is a sign on the door that says that class has been cancelled. So I had two hours to do nothing in between that class and my english class. Anyways, once my english starts, the teacher walks in 5 minutes late and tells us that he didnt have the reading with him that we were going to do in class, so he just let the class out. Best college days ever! Sucks you have such a long walk from yoru room to buildings.

Anna Nicole Smith's son "died"..
From us.imdb.com Smith's Son Died of "Massive Heart Attack" Anna Nicole Smith's 20-year-old son died of a "massive heart attack" while visiting his mother and newborn sister in their hospital room over the weekend, according to media reports. Daniel Smith had flown to the Bahamas on Saturday to join his mother and was in her hospital room Sunday when he suddenly collapsed. According to The Nassau Guardian, sources say Daniel reportedly suffered a "massive heart attack" and his mother made an unsuccessful attempt to revive him. Police officials immediately put the hospital on a security lock-down and remained tight-lipped about the incident, pending an investigation. Police Press Liaison Officer Inspector Walter Evans confirmed the death on Sunday saying, "This morning a Caucasian male was discovered sometime after 9am. The cause of death has not been determined and an autopsy has to be performed. Once we would have (carried out) an autopsy, (this) would confirm the exact cause of death." Soon after word of the death leaked out, members of the press descended on the hospital and were immediately rushed into a conference room. Hospital staff hustled the baby out into a waiting van, while Anna Nicole's lawyer, Howard K. Stern, rushed out to the hospital parking lot at the same time. Anna Nicole was reportedly whisked out of a backdoor exit, while Daniel's body was taken out through a side door and driven away in a hearse.

3 Bolingbrook teens killed in traffic accident.
When driving to southern IL, I HATE getting near those semi's. They seriously think they own the road and cut people off without regard. I should say some, not all.
