  1. We play Tues and Thurs the next couple of week to make up games that were rained out earlier. We're undefeated but 3 of the next 4 games are vs teams with 1 or 2 losses only. Which means we've played all the weak teams to be undefeated. Ha. We're still good so the playoffs should be fun.

  3. QUOTE (zenryan @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 10:30 PM) NY Daily News is saying MLB has offered him a deal to sit out the rest of 2013 and all of 2014. He could return in 2015 where he'd still have 3 years and $60M left on his contract. Or face a lifetime ban. If he comes back, make him play for the league minimum. "Sigh, oh I guess I can come back at 40 and make 20 million a year again. Ho Hum."

  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 08:44 PM) I could think of 20 off the top of my head that were more unlikable and worst contributors. Jaime Navarro FTW
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 28, 2013 -> 03:16 AM) Maybe ptatc can tell us if it'd be smart to shut him down. I'm at the point I'd consider it even though it's tough to just put a pitcher on hold cause his team stinks. I feel so sorry for Sale. It's impossible to go 1-8 with an ERA like that. Shutting him down would be dumb. If you want to limit his innings or pitches the rest of the way, fine, but shutting him down with 2 months left in the season does nothing.

Just looking at lineups for Fall TV. My Thursday night DVR may explode.
  9. The Cubs really own Sergio Romo.
  10. QUOTE (Big Hurtin @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 09:25 PM) David Ortiz lost his mind. He didn't like a strike call on 3-0 and eventually struck out. He showed up the ump and got tossed. Then he had to be restrained by several players/coaches from going out after the ump. He then took a bat and smashed the s*** out of a phone box with shrapnel going everywhere. That could've been bad. Some violent swings in a cramped area. Someone could've gotten hurt. Dumb.
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 27, 2013 -> 07:48 PM) I hate seeing PK go out like this. Just let him hit one more homer at home and then let him retire. And retire #14.
  12. Having worked at many golf courses, and I don't mean to profile, but Asians are the worst on courses. They are slow and inconsiderate. I enjoyed your story greatly. I've caught them driving on greens, trying to negotiate fees, booking for 4 and showing up with 12, and even trying to play again without paying. I don't get it.
  13. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 07:34 PM) Seems like Roku is the best smart device to me. I love it

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 26, 2013 -> 03:50 PM) A 5th season of Arrested Development will happen the "right way" with the cast working together "in some form". ‘I kinda go back and forth between [a movie] and a series. But here’s the most important thing, whatever we do, I want to get the cast all together and not do another anthology thing, and that’s why I keep thinking about kicking off with a special or a three-part show and then going into a series. Then he asked [Netflix chief content officer Ted] Sarandos: ‘Are you game for that?’. ‘Absolutely,’ the Netflix boss replied. ‘In any form.’ In other news, Netflix loves money. Will it be hard getting all those people together? Cera's arm had to be twisted to do S4.

QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 08:53 PM) Gotta love the twists and turns of big brother. The fans voting the 3rd nominee is dumb. Leave America out of it. It taints things. Aaryn's HOH means she's safe, that's it. Fans will put up Gina Marie and she'll be voted out, which is fine cuz I hate her.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 01:48 PM) It's Sandra Bullock and George Clooney in "Open Water in Space". I liked "Buried" and "Open Water" so I'm hoping "Gravity" holds its own. See what I did there?

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 01:44 PM) I still think that movie looks like s***. Is it because of Bullock? I could kind of see that.

QUOTE (Jenksismyb**** @ Jul 25, 2013 -> 01:24 PM) Wow, the two Gravity trailers are crazy intense. That movie is going to be awesome at the IMAX. I agree. IMAX should make it sweet.

QUOTE (Chilihead90 @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 08:08 PM) I am halfway through Orange is the new Black. I don't think it's anywhere close to as funny or good was Weeds was in the beginning. There doesn't seem to really be an overarching story line. Nothing really exciting or funny is happening. I'll continue to watch because I find it intriguing, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I'm losing hope for you.

QUOTE (juddling @ Jul 23, 2013 -> 07:28 PM) I watched the last season on youtube. the movie was ok.....had a few really laugh out loud scenes. I noticed S3 wasn't on Netflix. Wonder why. It's been a year or so
