White Sox v Tigers

We get a 2nd look at Rienzo as the Sox try to snap a 9 game losing streak. Cinch it up and hunker down.

What is sad is how great this pitching staff has been for this team to have lost 9 in a row. That said, if we are going to lose, I want them to be in low scoring games. It is paramount that these young arms develop into really good pitchers and continue to improve. That will be the key to this club getting competitive (and back into the playoffs) sooner rather then later (as it will allow Hahn to focus his attention on the lineup).

Let's see if this rookie of ours can win a big game. But, as has been said before pitching is not the problem with this team

The Sox have never lost every game of a road trip that was 7 games or longer.

Today is the day.

History in the making!

Lets get number 10!

Hopefully Rienzo pitches well though.

This is a big start for Rienzo. With Erik Johnson back at AAA, there should be some competition for the 5th spot in the rotation. Rienzo has an opportunity to take hold of the spot if he pitches well the rest of the way. Any extended struggles and I think we see Johnson get a look, at least by September.

Look forward to his start and hope he does well.

Alexei with another bonehead move.. nice work boys

Alexei is consistent at least.

lol

Three singles, a walk, and a wild pitch...and don't score. That's awesome.

We are consistent with that, great starting pitching, zero hitting. Dont stop now boys!!!

Man, our offense sucks balls this year.

I think Rienzo works faster than Buehrle.

It is one thing I think the Sox should emphasize on the lower levels. I think working quickly not only helps the pitchers keep a nice pace, and keeps fielders on their toes, I think it really disrupts hitters.

Reds losing again early to the Cardinals. They were looking for a right handed bat. Think Rios could fit if he gets to them or through waivers

I hate that Flowers is catching Rienzo right now

The subtitle of this thread is asinine.

We need to LOSE!!!

I'm hoping a shutout 7 inning performance by Rez followed by a run given up in the 8th.

We lose 1-0.

Rienzo's velocity way down from his last start

Stone asks Hawk what he thinks of Iglesias so far, and Hawk didn't provide any answer...haha

Nice way to work out of it

Nice way to work out of it

Yep, increased his velocity 3 mph on the high fastball to get Iglesias.

Do not fear, I promise you that Jose Iglesias actually sucks at hitting

Yesterday I turned off all notifications for the White Sox on my phone.

Yesterday was a good day.

Longest HR I've ever seen by a Sox player at this park
