  1. QUOTE(danman31 @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 07:35 PM) Yeah I thought about that except every other ranking publication I've seen does it this way. It's rather odd if you ask me, but hey, I can change it if you want. Doesn't matter.
  2. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 02:50 PM) Laws are only worth the paper they are written on. In the City of Chicago it is forbidden to own ANY gun, yet they have almost 1000 murders per year, mostly by guns. Well kind of like Michael Moore argues, no one really knows what's wrong with you guys when it comes to guns. I'm far from an expert on the subject so don't jump on me.
  3. I think I saw these pictures with an article once about how the gangs use their animals as intimidation.
  4. QUOTE(EvilMonkey @ Mar 6, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) I thought that with all the gun control laws up there that Canada was free from all this senseless violence? That was my point when I said something like this has never happened to us before. Gun controls have helped us.
  5. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/asia-pacific/4318551.stm I'm pretty stunned by this. I don't know where I got it from and really have no basis for it but I always thought China was really backwards and dangerous.
  6. QUOTE(3E8 @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 05:30 PM) That avatar is freaky. I guess you have to update your sig too? LOL great avatar Credepopsup. Or can I call you CPU?
  7. I watched Open Water last night. I was a little disapointed in it but it was a relatively fun movie and considering how little it was made for they did a good job. I also didn't like the ending. Anyone else seen it? 6/10
  8. Just a suggestion. Maybe you should start the article with the higher ranking players than the lower ranking players. So instead of Number 21 showing up first you see number 25 first. It makes it more suspenseful.
  9. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Mar 5, 2005 -> 09:54 AM) Iirc, you can have small amounts (less than an ounce) without penalty. But they have tough laws on growing/dealing/having large amount.s I'm not sure if that's right. I'm pretty sure that even having small amounts at this time is against the law. What you are talking about is what might be included in an attempted de-criminalization of pot which is on the table right now. Which would allow anyone to carry small amounts of pot. Anyways on this issue, it was quite a shocking occurence and was and still is our top news story as something like this hasn't happened since 1885, and even the incidents in 1885 were more a struggle for equal rights than attacks on police. Nonetheless the fact that something like this has really never happened says a lot about Canada.

  11. ---A quote from the journalist's partner The Bush administration can't afford for s*** like this to happen as the world is becoming increasingly distant from the United States. In this case the must do some major but kissing to the current Italy government, as they face an election against a leftist coalition next year. http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?t...storyID=7816127
  12. That should say February not January, and in February 2004 only 20 US soldiers were killed.

  14. http://www.indiadaily.com/editorial/1627.asp Brazil, Russia, India, China, South African alliance Didn't see this in any North American news last month, but this is obviously a very important development.
  15. I have a Paulie rookie card where he has all the catcher's gear on and I think he's got someone caught in a pickle.
  16. Glad to hear that you're okay.
  17. QUOTE(NUKE_CLEVELAND @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 03:01 PM) Not to mention that college professors are slanted VERY far to the left. Well doesn't that also concern you in that college professors are supposed to be very intelligent?
  18. Saudis now pressuring Lebanon to get out too
  19. QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 3, 2005 -> 12:57 PM) Does every industry have a bias? Could we call some industries liberal or conservative? Obviously Hollywood tends to be liberal, which ones are conservative? Automotive Industry Tobacco Industry EDIT: Oil Industry Weapons Industry Wal-Mart All the powerful industries
  20. QUOTE(flippedoutpunk @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 10:11 PM) no shadow? No, that's not something that nobody would notice. Wow, Gene has created a spin off game.
  21. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 09:25 PM) Woa, calm down. I say it's fake, I was just pointing out Yatzee's misconception about the wheel. This is a very passionate issue for me Didn't mean to sound aggressive.
  22. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) There isn't a biker in front of him. That's his wheel that fell off. Okay but then the wheel should be in the reflection, and considering that it's higher than his head it should be visible.
  23. QUOTE(JimH @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 06:56 PM) I don't think Cintron is available at this time. Arizona has him penciled in for the primary backup infield job ... which is a smart move by them. They signed Clayton and Counsell, neither of which are young. Things can change throught the course of spring training though. Holy crap Cintron is behind K-Layton for the starting shortstop position? Clayton had a decent year last year but was in Colorado, and two years ago Cintron was great, what gives? Is Clayton's defense that good?
  24. Wouldn't he have taken his hands off the steering wheel seeing as his head is about to turn to mulch. *MXC reference
