  1. QUOTE(tonyho7476 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 12:47 PM) It is crazy. My blood-pressure was up and I was freaking out. Amazing how wrapped up you can get in a good show like this. And it seems pretty obvious to me that Paulie is working with the NY family. I say Tony kills Paulie next week. f***in Foughettabboutit I strongly doubt Paulie is working with New York or anything like that. Now that Nucci is dead Tony is really all that Paulie has left.
  2. Loved the Raging Bull moment.
  3. Bug was totally crazy. If you're looking for something completely out of the ordinary it's great. Totally different kind of horror.
  4. QUOTE(NorthSideSox72 @ May 22, 2007 -> 08:38 AM) Tell you what. Since that is 2 on 1, if you give me 2-to-1 odds, I'd take that bet on Edwards. I think I'd have to take that bet.
  5. The Fountain was totally bizarre. I think it goes for a 2001: A Space Odyssey feel but I don't know, upon first viewing I was just perplexed and didn't enjoy it. When I saw 2001 for the first time I was perplexed but at least I enjoyed it.
  6. QUOTE(mr_genius @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:43 PM) I guarantee you the MSM buries this story. Who gives a s***?
  7. I'm totally ignorant of the system in which American political parties pick their presidential nominees but my common senses tell me that Edwards could never beat both Clinton and Obama.
  8. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ May 21, 2007 -> 09:13 AM) I like these recaps by this Sipenwell guy and had to avoid the thread last week until I could catch up on a missed episode. Thanks for sharing. Very minor point, but he's probably making a bigger deal out of Chris still being in the credits. The Ahmed and Mohamed actors were in the credits last night too, apparently because their likenesses appeared as still photos when the feds showed them to Tony. Similarly, Chris showed up as a photo from the Cleaver set on the wall at Satriele's (sp?), so Imperioli probably had to appear in the credits. I imagine that Sepinwall meant the opening credits. I don't think the arab guys were in the opening credits. I've seen characters that are dead appear in the opening credits a number of times before, like with Adriana the episode after she died. I think the main cast for the season pretty much stays the same for the opening credits for that season.
  9. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ May 20, 2007 -> 10:02 PM) Someone's pulling the strings behind Phil... Who did you have in mind? Too bad we have to wait 2 weeks before the next episode. Looks like it's going to be a hell of a barnburner. I bet there'll be some kind of cliff-hanger, to be continued... type thing going into the last episode. These new episodes, other than "Chasing It", have been great.
  10. QUOTE(Rex Kicka** @ May 15, 2007 -> 11:50 AM) There are no legal hash bars in Vancouver, however marijuana is readily available and decriminalized IIRC. No it wasn't decriminalized, still illegal. I believe there was legislation coming down the line for decriminalizing pot but the when the Conservatives came to power they stopped it. Medicinal use however is legal, I think.
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ May 14, 2007 -> 02:03 PM) hash bars in vancouver Huh?
  12. Okay, I hadn't heard much about it since I first saw the ads but Harsh Times with Christian Bale was pretty awesome.
  13. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Apr 16, 2007 -> 12:39 AM) Can you explain what happened? Honestly, I haven't watched the show normally for a few seasons, but I always follow what happened online. I think in the end, of the four mob characters that I consider the biggest (Tony, Paulie, Silvio, and Christopher), Silvio will be the one to live. He just always seemed to me to be the best person of them all, and that might be his saving grace in the end. Christopher's the only one of the others who I feel may end up living. Silvio didn't die, he was just out to dinner with this guy and someone came and whacked the guy he was with.
  14. So Phil Leotardo's going to try to become boss right? Also that whacking with Silvio was weird. I wasn't sure what was happening at first. I'll have to watch it again.
  15. QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Apr 10, 2007 -> 08:04 PM) Lol. He's included in the "mob hits" on-demand promo, which suggests that he ain't comin' back. Kinda sad, anyway, cuz that was a fun character. My heart sank a bit when I saw him in that promo. Well technically in that promo, they have a question mark after his name. But I'm pretty sure David Chase said he's not coming back. I hear a major character is going to die tonight. Just a guess here but I'm thinking Phil Leotardo's going to get it, but it could be anyone. In a trailer for the last episodes I saw Tony's talking to Little Carmine about becoming boss so maybe Phil's out of the way. deaths promo

    "300"

    Pretty decent movie but doesn't hold a candle to Sin City. Xerxes was badass though.
  17. Yes, I expect Al Gore and his family, one of the most powerful in America, to somehow use as little energy as your average American... And I'm saying that without really knowing, or caring, if Al Gore does take appropriate steps to reduce his ecological footprint.

  19. Considering it was -54 here with the windchill the other day -10 is a cakewalk, but 100 sounds pretty good to me these days.
  20. canadafreepress.com... Universally recognized as a joke in Canada. Denying climate change is like arguing that we were doing the blacks a favour by enslaving them.
  21. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Feb 7, 2007 -> 12:18 PM) He was on last season as Chloe's ex... he's not a mole. Nope not a mole, but yes a Canadian cook. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carlo_Rota
  22. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 3, 2007 -> 11:38 PM) I believe those incharge at IMDB make sure certain movies are given just due. Here's one circumstanial point -- look at how many votes each movie has received. Am I to believe The Shawshank Redemption has received 230,000 when the next closest is Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Rings with 216,000? I honestly believe SR is still quite overlooked, even with all the critical praise it has received. Not many casual moviegoers have seen it, or know much about it. Where have all these fans come from? Yah not every vote counts towards the top250 listing, and the actual formula for the vote average is secret to prevent tampering. You'll also notice the average for some movies is different on the 250 list than it's page shows.
