True, I also heard on one of the Sport Talk shows that, the bobcats are likely only to select a few player, through some sort of loophole, so that they can be able to be players on the free agent market. They wouldn't be much of a player this season, but figure to have the most cap space available next season. I don't understand the specifics of it. Just repeating what I heard.

That's the true one. The yanks had left Contreras for dead. When they were actively shopping him the didn't have as many starter concerns. And I'm sure if they were able to ship out Contreras, They would have had a plan in place to get Garcia, or better. Contreras has turned the corner and is pitching well of late. The yanks aren't shopping him like they were before.
