WSC425 = BeastlyOrdonez WSC425 got himself suspended / warned on numerous occasions.... after last suspension he changed name and came back as BeastyOrdonez Beaslty flew under the radar for a few weeks -- He was able to amass 3000 posts in under 2 months -- before he was "Suspended" again... apparently his suspension is up -- we can only hope his return is coupled with the introduction of the Ignore button...

My reaction was this... I know you're admin and could delete the post if you wanted... I figured if any of what C. rector had said was really true, "being lazy" you'd just delete his post... or better yet edit it to make him look really dumb... The fact that you took the high road and let that response remain tells me all I need to know..

The last time we started with a tough stetch like this, was inthe 2000 season, we opened with 10 games on the road, travelled all over the US, and had to play 7 games vs. the AL West, who we were terrible against.... The sox lost the first two games that year, The first game losing to Ismeal Valdes ,...... They ended up winning 6 of the next 8 and returned home with loads of confidence that they road throughout the entire season... I say Bring it on,

I've been well documented as being very against wal-mart... going so far as to boycott the store... I realize this does nothing to them, but I have principles.

OK I moved 10 Images, from 3 different forums, (got some stuff of my slow-ass ISP) and it took all of 5 minutes -- 5 minutes is not a lot people.

(I really wanted my own "OFFICIAL" thread) So we reached a new record today, 187 users. That crushed the old record, and even the server... Now's your chance to do what you can to show you appreciate soxtalk... I know the bandwidth has gone up greatly. We probably pulled more today than we were in a week last year... I know jason posted something a couple days ago about 4 million page views or something like that... So what can you do? See that fancy sig you've got there, host it remotely. How do I do that? you ask. Here's the steps... 1-Right click your sig and save it to your hard drive (put it someplace you wont lose it) 2-find a good image host -- (this is the most difficult part) 3-Upload the sig to the image host 4-Change the URL to show the new location of your sig. 5-there is no step five -- It's easy. Here's one that sounds good to me: ImageShack (doesn't even require sign up) I am in the process of moving a bunch of files there right now... This thread/request was done singularly by me, and without the prompting of admin or Jason. Though considering the bill jason is likely to recieve if we continue with 187 users during games here, he'll surely agree with me. I can not yet attest to the reliability of "imageshack", so anyone who has had good, or simillarly bad experiences with an image host in the past post them here and let us know... This is not a process that will happen overnight. But I feel I should be leading the fight considering I've provided a good number of the sigs that are currently sitting on soxtalk servers. So please, especially if I've made you a sig, find another place to store it, so we can keep Soxtalk running effeciantly,(and economically) in the future.

I did... He has not done anything that spectacular... He has been a good #2 starter... He could move into the upper echelon this season however. Here's his numbers from while he was here. As I recall the trade was pretty much Kip or Garland -- They also wanted Rauch, but he was untouchable back then-- at the time, I would have preferred to give up Garland, If for nothing else that he was associated with the cubs organization. But in reality, I wanted to keep everyone, and grow pitchers within our own system, ala Oakland. It may have meant not visiting the playoffs in 2001, or 2002, or 2003..... Oh wait that's what happened.. I expect a simillar drop in numbers for Jon garland this year... He's 24 been in the majors almost as long as the Kipper... he was ruched to the bigs, and probably stunted his growth a little, but he's at the point where he either figures it out or bounces around the league... I'm betting on the former rather than the latter.
