I agree Kelly should have some great value... The reason I said the deal was based on cotts effectivness vs. lefties was based on a few things. 1- Munoz supposedly being converted to a starter 2- sanders not being ready 3- schoe -- I believe he succeeds with us in the Starting rotation or not at all. 4- Todays outing --- cotts only pitched one inning -- at the very least he should have gone 2 -- Santiago and Majewski each pitched 2 innings after Neal.

My only response is this: Was there a simillar Cub's based april fools joke???

I'd say the validity of this report is based solely on how cotts has fared vs. lefties in ST... I know his overall numbers are good -- he pitched another scoreless inning today -- but I don't know if he is a "lefty specialist".

What's crazier, the last 2 times an active sox player has been on the cover, it's been just as bad... march 13- 2000 Not much happened immediately, we DID win the division, but LOST in the playoffs.... but this one is crazy... This was out 4 days before the baseball strike.

On a couple other sites I frequent most people were calling for the streets to run red with blood...Saying things like we should bomb them back to the stone age. I posted pretty a legthy retort along with the pictures on both sites, I assumed there would be the same statements here, so I pretty much copied and pasted my post, but there was mostly the reaction IB alluded to. I'm not fishing for a political debate. I just thought mine was a view that people were overlooking.

The incident can, and will, be used by both sides for political gain.
