  1. He will get hurt in LF, likely at least once before year end, and will completely suck in the interim. Eloy in LF is the definition of insanity.
  2. I can see maybe Burger, if he can either learn to play a serviceable corner OF or 2B. With a short 2-3 man bench (beyond a 2nd catcher), you need guys who can cover multiple positions. IMO,Burger and Sheets will face the same constraints, with superior starters blocking FT play, and lack of flexibility blocking a reserve roll beyond coming up after a significant number of injuries. If they don’t bring Leary back, they will bring back someone like him who can cover many positions. Especially if Tony returns, he wants 9 relievers, even if he only has faith in 2 or 3 as is the case now.
  3. That's cool (the shuttle). They weren't open pregame for my trip, so didn't make it. Also hit Milwaukee Ale House (they were OK) and Water Street Brewery (the historical decor was cools, their beers were just OK) as the only other places open on a Monday afternoon (before 4-5). You'll have more options on a Friday afternoon. Hope you enjoy the game, hope you report back with solid recommendations. Looking forward to trying to hit one or two of @turnin' two's recommendations next trip up. Milwaukee is a great town to visit. Cheers!
  4. Of the breweries I tried my last trip to Milwaukee (2019), I recommend Lakefront Brewing Downtown. Their food was good, and it was kid friendly (atmosphere), and beer is solid. https://lakefrontbrewery.com/beer-hall/food# Wanted to hit bars after the Monday 6PM game (ended by 9), but Wolski's and a hotel bar were the only two places open at "that late hour". Wisconsin people typically drink from 5 AM - 9 PM I highly recommend the Woodman's across the border (Kenosha) for Wisconsin provisions (Beer, Cheese, Cheese Curds, New Glarus / 3 Sheeps / Central Waters Beer).
  5. Want to say Thank You to the Moderation Team for isolating the trade rumors into a new folder. I'm really looking forward to the DH tomorrow, I want the Sox to completely bury the Twins to the point that they decide to sell off everyone and tank until Carl Pohlad's great great great grandchildren have come and gone. I want garbage corporate field and their home team to be known as MLB Chernobyl, and the team to be relegated to the minor leagues. I have been sick of the Twins for two decades. I want to live a healthy 40-50 more years, and never see them win another AL Central again in my lifetime. Also want to say I love your avatar. I'm sorry someone attacked you for it earlier today. People need to accept The Truth. Go Sox!!!
  6. I personally prefer the Revolution Tap Room at games, or hitting Marz’ great brewery taproom a mile west of the stadium. The Goose Island stadium beers (312, IPA) are brewed at the Budweiser plant in Baldwinsville, NY. Still haven’t been to the Craft Cave, though heard good things about it.
  7. Nice update on Kopech by James Fegan, hopefully it portends a long healthy dominant career once he’s able to start. Rodon and Kopech, showing how it’s done healthy and unaided by “the sticky stuff”.
  8. Love seeing Joey Cora in the middle of this, wish he was still here. Can see Rojas getting a very lengthy suspension after slamming into two umpires. https://www.mlb.com/news/pirates-score-3-runs-on-mets-mistake
  9. James Fegan retweeted the important change in Carlos' approach, which will likely allow him to stay dominant and healthy for the rest of the season, and beyond. Another great outing today, nice to see Yoan and Tim go deep as well.
  10. Not saying today’s game isn’t important. Have confidence in others holding onto a four run lead. Want Kopech stretched out either today or preferably tomorrow for 2 + innings. Jose Ruiz is more stretched out at this point. Being prepared for October far more important than fretting over a four run lead in July. Then he burns Hendriks, with a DH tomorrow. I’ll say it again, Hahn needs to get seven new relievers by the deadline if the Sox can’t trust a single one of them with a four run lead for an inning. They were all available, Friday was the only day anyone was used in over a week.
  11. Don’t see that changing for him or Crochet until Tony bites the dust.
  12. More like defend your guy’s dumb ass decisions regardless of how dumb they may be. Sox have more than two relievers who can hold a four run lead, it’s asinine, especially with a DH tomorrow.
  13. If the other seven bullpen pitchers can’t be trusted to hold a four run lead for an inning, you need seven new relievers at the deadline.
  14. At this point Ruiz is more stretched out. Tony prefers Ruiz as well in high leverage situations. Why waste Kopech here? Rhetorical question.
  15. But Tony was going to correct the fundamentals. Keep the stupid line moving with Kopech in. Fuck you La Russa.
  16. Sit Kopech until tomorrow, you idjiot.
  17. We all did, and also Jose "The Mustache" Valentin.
  18. White Sox continue to dab SoxTalk "But, but Yoan and Tim have no power"
  19. Take that Yoan Haters!!!
  20. Seven Ks for Rodon. Sox starters have become inspired after Lynn's payday.
  21. Yes, the question is will he want to remain here, or leave like Harry?
  22. Jason covering Red Sox / Yankees for the worldwide leader in douchebaggery. Wonder if he is seeking permanent greener pastures after Jerry Reinsdorf's RSN continues to ban Steve and Jason from traveling. Jason called Jerry's network "Hot Garbage" earlier this week on the score.
