Solid list, though Rodon should be ahead of Civale and a few others.

Trade Targets in response to Madrigal’s injury
Unless they are eating money for negligible prospects, just sit at this point. As Hahn said “My team is on the floor”. Not sure when they projected full capacity in their budget, but hopefully Hahn will at least have some flexibility to pick up at least 1-2 RHPs at the deadline. Was devastating last year with the solid team but clear holes at SP plus the two complete garbage acquisitions (Parrot and Mazara) that Jarrod Dyson was Jerry’s huge trade deadline expenditure, 30 days at minimum salary. Probably wanted Ricky to fail at that point, since he knew he was bringing in his BFF Tony.

One way I know the sox are a great team again...
And Dolores Plagerist Kearns and those other east coast gasbags going on and on about their fucking beloved red sawx. Couldn't stand Hawk talking about the god damned carmines, either. Hate the Yankees and Nationals as well. I heard a few Locked on Sox and like what I hear. I only listen to segments linked on the score to certain baseball and hockey (rare) guests, don't listen live anymore. Speigel's show on Sundays is solid, glad I don't have to hear him with Bruce Levine who is an aweful suck up/kiss ass to ownership. Stone is actually a decent human being on his segments, and James Fegan are the primary guests I like to hear. Lawrence Holmes my other favorite host, liked Boers when he was on, once he left, Bernstein got worse. Stone blocked this guy for calling Bernstein out on his twitter. Can only speculate whether Dan or others are "interested in her work", or perhaps just something else. https://twitter.com/Yoizel/status/1402691042604892160

Adam Eaton cheering for anyone but America after Todd Frazier was named to the team. ? Hawk Harrelson to serve as volunteer trainer. Players on the 40 man roster are not eligible for the Olympics.- 6/9| White Sox vs Jays | 7:10PM CT | TLR going for #2766
That was the first ER (2 unearned previous) allowed by Lance Lynn in the first three innings this entire season.- Sox Jerseys/Gear
Because White Sox baseball didn’t exist until the “Sunshine Boys” rode into town.- 6/9| White Sox vs Jays | 7:10PM CT | TLR going for #2766
FFF Gumballhead is on point. Marz Brewing’s Jungle Boogie is also a great wheat beer, and a fun place to go before a game (a mile west of Comiskey). If you’re ever in Wisconsin, definitely pick up New Glarus’ Dancing Man (winter/spring release). I like most styles, including bitter WCIPAs, they’re just like my posts. ??- 6/9| White Sox vs Jays | 7:10PM CT | TLR going for #2766
I agree not every is suited for closing out a game, and that pitchers typically like to know what situations they will be called upon. But there are times when it would be more effective to bring in Bummer or Hendriks in a tied game with tough hitters in the 7th or 8th. Katz said on Spiegel's show that he is discussing this aspect with Tony, and that it is possible Tony will change his hesitation of using Hendriks on the road for anything other than a save opportunity (or after it is too late, like when he was called in with bases already loaded in NY). Sometimes, the offense will come through, like last night, where a "save" isn't even in play.- 6/9| White Sox vs Jays | 7:10PM CT | TLR going for #2766
There are a lot of stupid people out there. Not sure where to post this promo, but figured many here would be interested. I attended one for the Goose Island beer distributors in 2019, and it was awesome. They had an assortment of Goose Island beers in a cooler and on tap available on the field (would be Revolution for this event) and a buffet spread. You can hit batting practice a few times, shag balls in the outfield, go where you like on the field (besides the infield which is covered). A great experience. The one drawback for folks looking to take their kids is the fact these events are restricted to 21 and older due to the sponsor. Revolution's Anti-Hero IPA is excellent, worth a shot picking up a twelve pack if you drink beer and like IPAs. Enjoying one of their beers now, their excellent West Coast IPA, aka West Coast Hero. You won't get free tickets with this beer, but also worth buying as it's a great beer. Go Sox! Go Revolution!- Why your favorite team can’t be more like the Rays
I’m talking about the rest of this season. Wouldn’t jump on any extensions, especially pitchers, until the season shakes out. Between the sticky substances fallout and health, you can get burnt relatively quickly signing a pitcher to big dollars. Lynn was the best player acquisition the past two years (Katz best overall), but I’m cautious about three years unless there is certainty of a significant payroll budget increase. A lengthy postseason would go a long way in securing said increase, as Jerry has consistently increased budgets for anticipated attendance increases.- 6/9| White Sox vs Jays | 7:10PM CT | TLR going for #2766
This goes for traditional stats as well. Saving one’s best pitcher for the final three outs for a 3 run save statistic (or not even playing them on the road without a lead), while pitching your worst bullpen pitching options in the highest leverage situations. In a close game, the only stat a manager should prioritize is a team win, period.- Why your favorite team can’t be more like the Rays
Wouldn’t spend a penny on anything other than relief pitching at this point, at least until they get a better handle on Robert and Eloy’s status over the next month. I don’t think there are huge $s for Hahn to spend, at least for this season, for big contracts like Bryant, Castellanos.- 2021 Plan for Kopech and Crochet
I’ve been calling for a six man rotation for a 6-8 week period in July-August to spread the innings out for Rodon, Cease, Kopech and the rest of the staff. Can bring up a AAA starter for a few as well. Would revert to a five man by early-mid September at the latest, to restore timing / a regular schedule for pitchers. You can also skip starts here or there as well, IL guys for a few starts, which is how the Sox have handled any minor hiccup so far. Lynn and Keuchel are best suited to be able to handle regular starts at this point, more do than the younger pitchers.- Sox Jerseys/Gear
I don’t see your photo either on Apple. Here is a photo of their 1969. I love their 1972-1975 uniforms.- 6/9| White Sox vs Jays | 7:10PM CT | TLR going for #2766
Great, another unwritten rule to consider.- MLB broadcasters are looking for answers
The local ESPN radio station picks up the tab for travel. They own the broadcast rights, but Sox have right of refusal for broadcast team hires. ESPN pays the White Sox for broadcast rights, but does not submit travel expenses or payroll expenses to the Chicago White Sox - these costs are incurred and expensed by the radio station, which earns profit based on promotions and ads sold associated with their broadcasts, net their expense. Jerry personally owns 25% of the RSN carrying the television rights. Jerry Reinsdorf's RSN picks up any associated broadcasting costs, including travel expenses. Jerry is the norm across MLB owners in this instance. Most teams are not sending their television broadcasters on road games. Most, like Jerry, also own their RSNs. The industrywide concern is that "these telecasts worked fine without travel, so were not going to do this in the future" being the norm, or being the norm if the broadcasters and others don't fight this. It's been discussed over the past year now. With fans attending at 100% capacity, and the White Sox passing the 85% threshold regarding less COVID restrictions, including travel restrictions, there is no legitimate "health or science" excuse to exclude broadcasters from traveling to cover the White Sox. For Cubs and other teams with restrictions, I could see waiting for now.- 6/8| White Sox vs Jays | 7:10PM CT | TLR going for #2765
