  1. Sometimes when I saw Aaron Bummer on the mound i wished he was DFA'd LOL, only kidding but Bummer was sometimes a real BUMMER on the mound
  2. See below from White Sox News, I'm not the only nut out there calling for Jazz/Chazz, whatever his name is Home/White Sox News White Sox News: Chicago should be all-in on Jazz Chisholm Jr. following Friday's trade One of the biggest trades of this Major League Baseball off-season took place on Friday afternoon. The Minnesota Twins traded reigning batting title winner Luis Arraez to the Miami Marlins in exchange for Pablo Lopez and two prospects. That is the definition of a blockbuster. The White Sox obviously benefit from this move because of the fact that they won't have to face Luis Arraez as a member of a division rival anymore. He is an elite player against everyone but he seemed to be extra special when he was facing White Sox pitchers. It is good to see him shipped off. By Vincent Parise With this trade though, it is easy to wonder what the Marlins are going to do. They already have Jazz Chisholm Jr. and they signed Jean Segura during the off-season. With Luis Arraez coming to town, what is their plan? According to Kim Ng, they are going to move Jazz Chisholm Jr. to centerfield with Segura at shortstop and Luis Arraez at second base. It is an interesting strategy but it is also fair to wonder if another move is coming for them. The Chicago White Sox are a team that could really use a 2B upgrade. At the very minimum, the White Sox should be calling to check in on Chisholm Jr. He would fit into this team in every way. With how disappointing 2022 was, it would be nice to see them make a splash like this. They desperately need an upgrade at second base but it sounds like they will roll with Romy Gonzalez and Lenyn Sosa as internal options. Chisholm is an All-Star caliber player that makes sense via a trade and the White Sox should be all in on trying to make a move like that. He is also an outstanding hitter that has a proven track record in Major League Baseball now. This lineup would take a big step forward if he became a part of it. Tim Anderson and Jazz Chisholm Jr. would make some great plays together if they were the team's two middle infielders. If Yoan Moncada and Andrew Vaughn had solid defensive years in addition to Chisholm joining the team, the entire makeup of the team could change for the better.
  3. We’ll it seems Quin took it upon himself to do it. I guess all my forum titles will now can and will be messed with.
  4. Quin, why did you mess with my title? You created backlash for the changed title, please leave my stuff alone in the future. squirman Yermin your beef is with Quin on the long title, not me
  5. Question people, can my forum title be altered by anyone? My original title was Marlin make trade for Arezza Chaz could be available, or something to that effect. Now it’s very long title that I did not write.
  6. Is it possible for you to be nice to people. You criticize ever time I post. We are here to fun and discuss things. Who really cares how long my titles are. Be nice. Everyone else is and contributes with respect
  7. I can live with Colas getting a shot in RF or LF if they want Benintendi to switch. But we’re probably better off with Tendi in LF and Colas in RF
  8. I’ll never give up. I don’t like our current 2nd base situation. Maybe Chaz can’t or won’t happen, but we have to do something besides having Garcia play 100 games after Sosa and Gonzalez possibly fail.
  9. He’s better than anything we currently have. You’re probably be satisfied with Garcia playing 100 games if Sosa or Gonzalez crap out in Spring training or during the 1st month or so they prove they’re not ready.
  10. I agree we have a bunch of porcelain dolls on this team and if they all can average 120/130 games we’d have a shot. Chaz Chisholm is now available to play 2nd base and if a reasonable deal can be made for him that would only leave RF in which with Chisholm at 2nd, we can have Colas play RF.
  11. Miami trades for 2nd baseman Azzaez. This could loosen up the trade possibilities for Chaz Chisholm. He could be a stop gap until Sosa or Gonzalez can prove themselves
  12. Because of the annoying jingle at every game I WILL NEVER BUY INSURANCE FROM NATIONWIDE, it’s old, tired and annoying.
  13. agree, but you got to play the hand you're dealt. too msny porclean dolls on this team this is what the cheapo's gave us this year.
  14. they didn't do enough considering what was availble, Conforto and Segura as a start. Colas may be a star in the making but he's not ready. Is Clevinger going to be the the Clevinger we saw dominate? Doubt it, they're already saying he's lost 3 or 4 miles off of his fast ball. Is Kopech going to ready? Did they really do anything beyoud Benintendi, which i liked the signing. Too many 1st Baseman DH types. Which Gandal shows up? If Colas fails at the plate we'll have a Garcia Sheets Right Field when Garcia is not playing second Hamilton signing is a joke, i'd rather of had Harrison back and not a fan of Harrison but he's better than Garcia/Sosa/Gonzalez at this time. We have too many player who spend more time on the IR list than on the fiels.
  15. and F*** the Sox, because our Front Office just doesn't care
  16. PS. remove the Cub comparison and answer this? Did the Sox do all that they could to get back to the playoffs? I say no.
  17. i don't care either what the cubs do, i'm just illustrate the difference in our terrible Front Office and the little disregard for our fan base. JR, Kenny and Hahn just don't seem to care. They only care about payroll and not whether we win or lose. Maybe one day we'll get an owner like SD, NY, LA has. AN owner that wants to win at all costs.
  18. this is an abbreviated version of my other post which goes into more detail by the same title. , i had a problem posting the longer version and thought it didn’t post when the site went down yea Who did better, I say the Cubs, they were more aggressive, made calculated 1 and 2 year deals with Hosmer, Mancini, Bellinger etc. Spent on Swanson and Tallion. We got Benintendi and Clevinger, no legit 2nd Baseman. Still overloaded with DH’s and 1st Basemen. A possible rookie with no real at bats in the majors in right field Colas instead of Conforto who was there for the taking Benintendi was a good move, Clevinger a risk but only for a year. Martin as a backup 5th Starter or 5th Starter if Kopech is still mending is ok . our bench is a joke Hamilton, Garcia Sosa and Gonzalez? Come on, really? Is Gleyber Torres really available? Is Madragil really available ?
  19. just something to post, a comparison mostly about the front office’s and what they accomplished The Cubs basically redesigned there entire roster, they definitely needed more than the Sox but in my opinion they outdid the the Sox Cubs — Swanson , Bellinger, Taillon, Barnhart, Hosmer, Mancini, plus many minor adjustments. Sox— Clevenger, Benintendi, Hamilton, some minor adjustments Cubs up the middle now — SS Swanson, 2nd Horner/ Madrigal CF Bellinger C Gomes/Barnhart Sox up the middle now — SS Anderson, 2nd ????? , CF Robert, C Grandal/Zavala Corner infielders Cubs—- 1st Base/DH Hosmer, Mancini, Wisdom 3rd Baseman Wisdom Sox — 1st Base/DH Vaughn , Sheets, Jimenez 3rd Baseman Moncada, Burger Corner Outfielders Cubs —- Left Happ Right Suzuki Sox —- Left Benintendi Right Colas Starting Pitching and Bullpen too much to list but I’ll give the Sox the edge even without Hendriks Bench is up to interpretation. Sox —- Garcia, Hamilton Sosa, Gonzalez, currently the 2nd Baseman will come from this crew 3rd Base, Burger Cubs—- Madrigal, Hosmer Mancini Morel and others to be determined The Sox currently have 6 starters, Gio, Lynn Cease, Kopech, Clevinger, and Alternate if a pitcher goes down, Martin Bullpen still solid even with Hendriks out for an extended period ( I think the Sox knew he had cancer and did the right thing and not traded him) , that would of looked shady if they traded him. Kelly could be used in a trade to clear some payroll Burger and Sheets are trade chips to help get a legit everyday 2nd baseman. Benintendi was a good move, would have been nice to get Conforto to give Colas more experience Gleyber Torres or Madrigal trade possible? Cubs spent more, made many more moves. Taking a chance on Bellinger for 1 year at 17 million in that hitters park a good move, will Suzuki be what he’s supposed to be? Will they trade Madrigal to the Sox or anyone? Mancini and Hosmer could alternatives at DH/1st Base. Sox gambling on Clevinger for 1 year at 13 million, might work out, more of an insurance policy if Kopech isn’t ready Can the Sox still get a legit full time 2nd baseman still? Doubt it, Torres and Madrigal seem to be the only ones still out there worth it . The Cub front office was much more aggressive with low risk 1 and 2 year contracts Sox afraid to spend and risk trading Sheets, Burger, Colas etc this is a discussion to have fun with, things could still change HOPEFULLY Not sold on the current makeup of the team VERY WEAK BENCH
  20. I agree with what you're saying and I'm also opposed to a retread guy also, but the pickings are slim, but I don't consider Chaz a retread if you look at his numbers, they're pretty good. Now we'll never get him because of what they'll ask for, which will probably be too much and JR/KW/RH will not bend. and don't be hurt, i wasn't hurt when you critized me about my posts. We're here to have fun. Here is his past couple of years and he's only 24. the stats below will be the reason the price will be to high, but i think it would be great. 21. Before Squrmin for Yermin criticizes the post, which I know he will for bringing up what the remaining major hole in the lineup is, 2nd Base. Right Field will be Colas, we all know that, until Hendriks returns it might be Lopez/Graveman/Chrochet (if he’s healthy) combo as closers. I suspect we will not go out and spend money or players for closer at this time. Miami is deep with infielders and especially at 2nd. They have a guy that they are not thrilled with because of attitude problems. Rumor has it that they would trade him for the right package. Chaz Chisholm. I’ve looked at his numbers and they are pretty decent. Decent power numbers when he gets the at bats. He’s a fair fielder, not a gold glove but average. Bats in the 250’s steals about 15 bases, with 500 to 600 at bats he good hit 20 HR’s and steal 20 bases. Rumor is also that Gleyber Torres could be on the market, but I doubt it. Chaz might be the answer. Not saying we have the right combo to get him or he’s actually on the market, but we can dream. Only dreaming so please don’t say I’m crazy. Need something to focus on until the NFL DRAFT and Spring Training.
  22. I believe the solution is still Elvis. A 2 year deal is appropriate for about 10 to 12 million. We lost out on all the other legitimate 2nd basemen. No trades on the horizon, no idiotic ideas please like Garcia playing 80 games at second, converting Burger to 2nd Base. Elvis is the answer for now if he’s willing to play second. If he insists on playing SS then no, don’t sign him. Sosa and Gonzalez are a risk but we may have no choice.
  23. Elvis is the answer for a year or 2 til we get rid of Hahn LOL
