Too bad they didn’t try to convert Burger to play second. They had 2 years to convert him. I would beg Moncada to move back to 2nd. We all know it’s a pipe dream, besides Moncada is a much better 3rd Baseman then Burger could ever be. I would trade Jimenez as soon as he’s healthy for a quality long reliever and live with Burger as DH vs lefties and Sheets as DH vs righties. Jimenez will get hurt again and be useless once again.

I’m not going to read all 16 pages of the post. My observation is the Pedro may be a great guy to have a beer with, talk baseball, but he’s got a long way to go before he’s, as OZZIE predicted he’d be manager of the year. He doesn’t seem to grasp the idea of after a pitcher/pitchers give up 3 or 4 home runs in the first 2 or 3 innings they should be pulled. This lineup today reminds me of Ozzie’s Sunday Lineups. Looks like we hired another shitty trained with all these aches and pains. Moncada is snake bit and will never play 100 games, same goes for Jimenez. It’s only a matter of time before Vaughn get a hang nail and misses time. Baseball Perspectus, Vegas and all the pundits looks like they were right. 79 to 81 wins again.

There are a few positives so far this year. Moncada, Anderson, Robert and Vaughn look very good so far. Grandal looks ok, Cease is Cease, Cy Young candidate I believe ever year going forward. Lynne looks ok. The bullpen totally sucks. Very worried about Kopech. Is he done as a starter? Starting rotation with the exception of this Kopech debacle. He should have been pulled whe it was 4-0.

I haven’t invested in any tickets yet for this year. If this is going another .500 team, they will not get any of my money. I will go if invited for free. ??last year I attended about 12 to 14 games. Not sure what the exact number and bought expensive lower bowl seats. Not going to do that this year until I see the product improve.

Ok, let’s start with the hiring of Pedro, I was sort of ok with it. Everyone should be given a chance. I’ve watched the 1st 5 games and I question a few things he’s done. Without getting into great detail, I think some of his lineups are questionable. His use of the bullpen in definitely questionable. Leaving Kopech in there as long as he did is cause for concern. Did he forget that tomorrow is an off day and he could used the bullpen a lot earlier. I’ll be patient the 1st month as long as they end up around.500. Like I said, everyone deserves a chance.

Was not a fan of the Clevinger signing when it happened. And when the charges came out, I went nuts and we’ve been ok with a DFA and eat the contract. Yes he pitched good today. I don’t have to like him, or invite him out to lunch. It’s a one year deal. We don’t have many alternatives currently so we have to live with this. But he did pitch well. Offense is ok, but can’t go through the season with base loaded and no outs and come up empty. Yes, it will happen from time to time but twice in a game cannot and shouldn’t happen.
