We keep hitting ground balls in the infield with RISP. Our inability to hit sacrifice flies with men on 3rd and less than 2 outs also hurts.

It proves once again the need to pile on runs, we needed every one of the 8 runs scored. We have not been good this year in piling up runs after an early lead. Need a killer instinct. No unwritten rules.

No sense of urgency and no accountability has been a mark of this team. Sox should give out Five Hour Energy instead of Gatorade.

Abreu led the majors last season in hitting into double plays. Need to use the hit and run and steals whenever feasible with Abreu at bat. Sometimes it’s better for us for Abreuto strike out rather than the rally killing DP.

The issue was that the runner moved to third and scored on a ground ball.

TLR has been extending all his starting pitchers too long. ReyLo should have been in after the ump screwed up the strike call on Guerrero.

TLR will justify thru Leury being a switch hitter that can play the outfield.

The Sox should continue using the black Southside uniforms until they lose again at home.

The main problem with Burger 3B defense has been his inability or unwillingness to get behind the ball, trying to field balls back handed and to the side.

Can he play third and Burger second? Burger is just awful defensively at 3rd. We are already handicapped enough by not having a decent lefty position player and a terrible manager.

But Robert should not be pulling the ball in the first place. Not a productive out, didn’t move the runner over to third with no outs.

No way you send Mendick down. He has been one of our hottest hitters and playing great defense. Put him at 2 nd and get rid of Harrison.

We could have won this game if we used our available resources better. We needed to pinch hit for Harrison and /or Hasely in the 9 th trailing by one. Zavala had to pinch hit, he has been hot and can hit the Crawford boxes easier than those two. TLR just doesn’t like to pinch hit and invariably lets our scrubs hit late in close games.

His base hit was an infield hit high chopper to third. He had no business hitting in the 9th.

Would take my chances with Zavala over Hasely particularly when we need a homer to tie in the 9th. TLR should know this as well.

It was a Crawford box homer , not a homer in most other parks. Guys like Abreu, Robert, Vaughn, Burger, zpollock can reach the Crawford boxes but none did. It’s like hitting the Monster at Fenway.

At least Pollock trade is looking better. Pollock starting to hit. Tonight Kimbrel gave up two runs late to Cleveland in a tied game, and the Dodgers lost. Kimbrel ERA is over 4.

You mean TLR didn’t believe we could come back. He showed it by not pinch hitting for our two scrubs batting 8 th and 9th in a one run game.

Hit some cheapie Crawford box home runs ourselves. It’s hard to come back in games without hitting home runs.

They should have pinch hit Zabala for Hasely. Zabala is a veteran and has some pop and can reach the Crawford boxes while Hasely is a rookie and a lefty. We can’t win with TLR at the helm in close games. How can you expect to start the 9 th one run back and start the inning with Harrison and the rookie Hasely.

Zavala has some pop and can reach the Crawford boxes.

TLR not pinch hitting for Harrison in a one run game in the 9th would be managerial malpractice.
