  1. Phillies just fired Girardi for many of the same reasons that we also have here with TLR. We could probably have had Cora or Hinch as managers, albeit a little tainted, but we would have had a much better record today than with TLR.
  2. And Steve would be closer to Arizona.
  3. Surprising. Thought for sure, it would have been the 8 th
  4. Joe Girardi has been fired by the Phillies as manager. Watching the Dombrowski press conference now. He said they need a different voice and a different energy in the clubhouse, in order to salvage the season.. the Phillies have been underperforming, defense has not been good, questioned lineups, lackasaidal. This sounds very similar to the White Sox, these guys are pulling the trigger, but does JR has the testicular fortitude to do the same? The Phillies are 22-29.
  5. Not playing players that are not producing and hitting way below the Mendoza line on the top third of the lineup, to begin with.
  6. TLR always plays matchups no matter how crappy the player is. McGuire is hitting lefty against Menoah.
  7. Sousa pitching to Vlad Jr in the 8th tonight reminded me of Keuchel pitching to Story a few days back. Both had the predictable and feared outcome of two homers with men on. We need better decisions of not letting dangerous hitters beat us, by having the right pitchers facing them in game situations.
  8. We have too many lazy overpaid players. Aren’t all their salaries guaranteed while on the team?
  9. Any available righty would have been a better choice.
  10. Can’t TLR be sent to the Bears? Don’t they need at least a punting coach?
  11. It happened. That was a home run ready to happen when we let a crappy lefty pitch to Vlademir Jr in a 2 run game. Sox have no margin for error including the daily TLR blunders. Today the walks have hurt plus the Kopech 0-2 fastball right down the middle for a 3 run homer, all with 2 outs.
  12. Even if Yaz gets on base, you will need a homer to bring him in. He is so slow.!
  13. He is not the only one in our team.
  14. No accountability, no adjustments.
  15. Agree. Even if Grandal would have drawn a walk he would need a home run to score, he is so slow.
  16. Engel or Mendick, at least they have some speed if they get on.
  17. Someone give him the take or bunt sign.
  18. One of the main problems is that we don’t walk and are not hitting home runs. At the same time we hit into many double plays, and have bad clutch hitting and bad baserunning…not a good formula to score many runs and have high LOB numbers.
  19. Might as well had him bunting. He was not on tonight.
  20. Agree, but can’t afford to punt or give away games like tonight with so many dumb moves.
  21. There is a limit to fan masochism.
  22. Like I said over the weekend, we have turned into the Chicago Keystone Cops Sox.
