Read Yahoo Sports article on Twins finding a new Moneyball style trick/analytics that is working for them. It’s taking the first pitch whenever possible. Analytics data is that hitters starting 0-1 are slashing.211/.255/.325 with ..580 OPS while those starting 1-0 are slashing .251/.317/.417 with .789 OPS. Twins have taken the first pitch 701 times while the White Sox last in this category have taken the first pitch 577 times. They said pitchers have been avoiding first pitch fastballs to avoid getting ambushed. First pitch strikes to Twinshitters have been averaging 56 % this season and the MLB average is around 60%. Food for thought. At any rate, the message should be that White Sox hitters should be taking more first pitches. Sox need to adjust. What they are doing now is not working.

Sox as usual we’re swinging at everything. Not working any counts. Not being patient and waiting for a good pitch to hit. TLR, when awake, should start giving some take signs when warranted or give more playing time to patient hitters that work the count and take walks.

AJP just criticized TLR for having a different lineup every game. And that tonight the 8 th and 9 th hitters are 5 for 6 and the top of the lineup zilch. Bring AJP as manager to shake things up.

I would venture to say TLR today is the worst manager in MLB.

This game should be 3-1 now. Taking Cueto out after 6 was a no brainer, to everyone except TLR.

TLR is just incompetent at this time. He should resign or be removed. In most any other job in the private sector, he would have been terminated already for not performing.

Cueto should not be in this game still. Not sure how Tony thinks this is a good idea.

Cost us two runs to leave Cueto in one inning too long. TLR is just incompetent. We are not going anywhere beyond .500 with TLR at the helm. He should resign.

Tim needs to go opposite field more, keeps pulling the ball on the ground. Be more patient at the plate, look for a ball he can crush.

TLR did not help him by hitting him second. This is one time I would have liked to have Leury in the lineup instead of Harrison.

AJ on the broadcast called out the Sox for not taking any walks, and that Anderson should not have swung on 3-1 low curve ball. BTW, Harrison swung at a ball over his head for a fly out. This team does not adjust, and nobody is made accountable. Things need to change.

Time to change the 3rd base coach. Sending Grandal in even with 2 outs is not a good idea. He is one of the slowest runners in the league. crazy Joe needs to be moved away from the 3 rd coach position.

TLR at it again. Hitting the worst hitter in the lineup second.

Biggest surprise no Leury and Harrison hitting second. We need Robert and Eloy back along with the good Moncada. This lineup has too many holes. It is a .500 team lineup.

Money he could have used for a quality 2B and/or RF.
