  1. Absolutely right. Sheets has been our best hitter lately. He needs to be in the lineup. DH instead of Grandal or at worst in for Vaughn.
  2. We need to hit and run withMoncada at first and Grandal at the plate. TLR has discarded the running game and we are hitting into more double plays.
  3. I hope we circulated the memo on not letting Jose Ramirez beat us.
  4. Don’t like Vaughn hitting second,he has not been hitting and is too slow. Moncada should be hitting second. Would actually would have liked to see Sheets in the lineup, he has been hot, could be DH instead of Grandal.
  5. He wanted to impress the chick with the Altuve top.
  6. Gavin has earned a spot in the lineup even against lefties. He has been one of our better, more dangerous hitters lately. He is getting the ball up in the air consistently.
  7. Regardless, the wild card is also in play if we don’t catch Cleveland. Staying pat at the deadline was a blunder. Aren’t we supposed to be a major market team?
  8. Giolito did affect but every 5 games, the 2 nd base and RF holes affected every game as position players. We also had Keuchel sucking at the beginning of the season.there were a myriad of bad factors.
  9. Right on. We wasted a lot of good pitching with bad offense and defense
  10. Would have rather kept Foster and send VV down instead.
  11. Not even close, Jose is much better than Vaughn and even faster runner..
  12. Time to bring in Moncada to hitting second. He is faster and less prone to the DP and to clogging up the bases when he gets on. Vaughn hits too many ground balls and is too slow. Move him down the order.
  13. Maybe TLR threw in the towel too soon in this game. It was pretty early still in the game, and He let VV put the game out of reach.
  14. And unless we have excellent pitching permitting less than 4 runs a game, we have no chance against teams like the Astros. We can’t come back from being down more than 3 or 4 runs with our lack of power, and our ground ball city station to station offense.
  15. We will probably settle for Giolito as #5 starter. Needs to adjust to more off speed pitches. That flat 92. Mph fastball in the strike zone is not going to cut it like we saw today.
  16. Sox give away home field advantage quickly to home run hitting teams.
  17. Hope he doesn’t have a fracture or ligament tear…
  18. Looks like a good lineup, no Robert though. Would have preferred Harrison hitting 8 th or 9 th instead. He was awful yesterday.
  19. Harrison should be a more patient and selective hitter , but is not. He is too hyper to be patient, that is why he is called Big Energy. By the way he has not been hitting 9 th lately, hit 7 th yesterday.
  20. We should have been in first place with a more competent manager.. the many punted games and Sunday lineups have come back to haunt us. We have also wasted many well pitched games with the spotty Groundball city station to station ball with no change or adjustment. Still we are only 2 out and with our excellent pitching lately and some improved clutch hitting,, we are well positioned to fight for the division and/or wild card. We cannot afford to punt any more games, and need to play every game like a playoff game, and not pull anything back. Go for a win today win a sense of urgency and we will worry about tomorrow tomorrow.
  21. A good take away this week has been that we showed we can be competitive against the Astros. Should give us more confidence going forward.
  22. Lack of power/ no home runs is hurting us. Only excellent pitching keeps us in the games nowadays.
