4/7 Sox @ Pirates 3:12PM CT
For what though? In a failed desperate attempt to save the season, they probably acquire mediocre short term solutions that ultimately fail instead of true young talent. That’s the Sox way.

4/7 Sox @ Pirates 3:12PM CT
They probably don’t have the balls (or Jerry’s permission) to trade their best veterans to rebuild, and won’t pay to retain them either.

I don’t think the Sox make changes much once you’re in.

On the positive side, Benettis HR calls have improved. Looks like he’s taking the mustard off and going straight dog.

One reason why Pedrol Grifol reminds me of Ozzie Guillen
I don’t know how much blame can go to a manager that has to get innings from his starters because his GM left him with a bullpen that has very little to offer, especially for a team that ostensibly is competing for the division. So pick your poison. Stress a bullpen that might be a smoking crater by midseason, or take the pain.

Eloy to IL, low grade hamstring strain - retroactive to 4/4
I'm not sure how good it is that it's a different leg. Its not as bad. But if his whole body breaks down, that's not much consolation tbh.

Eloy to IL, low grade hamstring strain - retroactive to 4/4
E he may have IDK, but he was busting his ass down the first base line a couple games ago. Maybe the Sox should give him the exclusive TLR exception to hustle

Eloy to IL, low grade hamstring strain - retroactive to 4/4
His what hurts. If it was the same leg as last year, this becomes a more serious issue. If it is the other leg, it becomes a more serious issue.

4/2 - Sox @ Astros
Sometimes guys just need the work. There's no way to tell if Pedro is going to do a good job yet, but this strikes me as one of those times they felt they had room to get him the work they thought he needed. Unfortunately he had to throw so many pitches. But it's better thsan blowing a save in a 1 run game tomorrow because he's a little loose with his stuff.

Sox win; split series @HOU
I'm satisfied. If the Bullpen was doing a consistent job, then I'm made happy. Colas from what I understand has soaked up every bit of hit coaching they threw at him for going on 2 years. He'll be able to make adjustments probably.

Sox win; split series @HOU
Why would anyone hate this level of performance? This was what we all signed up for years ago. Expectations are not a bad thing

Sox win; split series @HOU
Holy cow. Lopez can’t count to 3!

Fire Rick Hahn
The split doesn’t matter. The state of the bullpen matters.

Giolito is slimmer though, which matters!
