  1. 48 pitches seen so far. Gonna get into that bullpen earlier
  2. Yeah but he also missed most of 2005 with virtually the same injury. And the tigers failed to protect themselves. Remember the sticking point with the Sox was a protection against re-injury. I also think Dye was as productive as Ordonez.
  3. Our lineup is good enough that we can affording to field a passenger at the plate who makes up for that in the field.
  4. I'm just looking at the wild card standings and despite their most recent two losses, the white Sox are in an incredible position. If anyone had offered us up this place at the beginning of the year, we'd have bitten your arm off for it. Even if there is a bit of regression without Murakami, it's hard to see what TWO teams would overtake the White Sox. Yes, it's more a commentary on where the AL is but some of the supposed giants are just so far behind that they are more or less out of it already. It would require runs from multiple teams that I just don't think have it in them. So with that opportunity, I think we need to buy smartly. Anything can happen in the playoffs. Sox should put themselves in a position to pick up the baton so they can make an October run.
  5. The 2005 team were killers. No doubt they had elite talent that year but what really separated them from the pack was that they were ultimately stone cold killers. This lot are starting to resemble them mentality wise.
  6. These guys are turning into mentality monsters.
  7. https://www.mlb.com/news/munetaka-murakami-to-injured-list-with-right-hamstring-strain?affiliateId=mlbapp-ios_webview_news-index&rsid=mlbios.at.bat.new.implementation 4-6 weeks. Damn.
  8. He ran out to celebrate the game winner.
  9. he's also on pace to play more games then he's ever played in his career. A few weeks off might be good for him.
  10. Definitely a few weeks if it's a grade 1, which finally watching it, that's what it looks like. There is no need to risk him. We need him down the stretch.
  11. He's great. He seems to be the kind of manager many of us had been begging for for years. Young, smart, and data driven. He gives us the best of Renteria but I think he's just a much better manager.
  12. We are playing like a hybrid of the bomba boys and the guardians.
  13. There's a real strong case to be made that Vargas has been on our MVP this year. I love Mune but the protection Vargas provides and the way he's able to get on base has made him so valuable.
  14. So happy for him. He was my friend in high school. One baseball guy who actually made it from new trier in that class
  15. Martin, Burke, sandin is a solid front 3.
  16. Liking what I'm seeing from Sandin. He knows how to get hitters out.
  17. Maybe the Killer M's. A tribute to the killer b's (Bagwell, Biggio, Bell)
  18. We have our maestro going tomorrow at least. Unfortunately fedde on Thursday
  19. Need to only give up one run here
  20. First team to win ten in a row and then lose ten in a row in a season.
  21. Wtf? Not a clear and obvious error.
  22. Kay is back in the circle of trust for now
