  1. It's seriously been a trend since he came back from Covid. LAst few games, he has been unable to go deep.
  2. Yoan's defense is indispensable at 3rd. He's a gold glove caliber third baseman. How bad is Burger's defense at 2nd?
  3. Sox have an amazing problem on their hands when Eloy gets back from his injury.
  4. I texted my Twins fan friend this but I think by the All Star break, the Sox will, if not be in first place, at least close. The offense is starting to put it together. Getting TA back is going to help a lot. And when we get Eloy back, that will be huge as well. And getting Lynn back will be a shot in the arm to the rotation, as well as the bullpen as he will have the ability to eat a lot innings. I like the way Mendick is playing right now. Having said that, I would love to see Hahn do what the Braves did last year and make targeted acquisitions that force some of these players to have to compete to be in the lineup each day.
  5. Unless Harrison get's ridiculously hot, it's him and Sheets. I would stick with Mendick/Burger for now and than at the deadline, if they begin to scuffle, look to trade for a 2nd Baseman or call up Sousa or Sanchez. You have to keep Burger as well. I am not in favor of moving Moncada to 2nd either. We need his defense at 3rd.
  6. I have a better chance of being named starting shortstop. TA is the face of the franchise. I do think Sosa could go to 2nd base though.
  7. Why is Mendick not leading off? This is inexcusable.
  8. I would rather they go after Greinke.
  9. The Twins starting pitching is already beginning to fall apart. And considering many of these guys are on innings limits, the team is due for a lot of regression. I think the Sox will make it but it may almost be by default.
  10. 10 Day IL. Is it possible this isn't as serious an injury as we thought and he'll be back later this month?
  11. How much pain would a grade one groin strain cause immediately? The way I saw it was that he was in immediate pain and as he was being helped off, it looked like he was able to walk, albeit gingerly, with help.
  12. I guess some of the yoga practitioners he follows are into new age quack science. Very much against vaccines.
  13. Peeping Cease's instagram now, he seems to be into some bizarre new age shit. He's apparently really into yoga and I have a feeling that he's seeking advice from ill informed circles. I was pretty surprised though.
  14. Sox would have won five of their last six had it not been for him.
  15. I hope at the deadline, the Sox do what the Braves did last year and make very targeted and specific moves to fill weaknesses. The big one for me is 2nd base. Also another starting pitcher. If they can get a left handed thumper too that would be great. They don't have to be earth shattering either. To be honest, I think someone like Grienke would be a real plus for this team, especially in the playoffs.
  16. I just turned on the game. First thought was: who the hell is that guy on that mound?
  17. Most recent. He basically outed Donaldson as someone who has had issues with teammates of color in the past. It wasn't on the record but Garfien said he told them that he heard that the reason he was traded was because how badly he got along with his latino teammates in Minnesota.
  18. Dunno if people heard Keuchel's inside drop about why Donaldson was traded from the Twins. It was on the White Sox Talk Podcast. It's revealing
  19. This is probably also worth noting. Don't know if Grandal's family history but it may have touched a nerve with him as well. Shout out to Grandal for being an amazing leader though.
  20. I agree with you that Chapelle is a genius. And that's why it's really sad to me that he continues to punch down and make transgender people the object of his ridicule. The only way Chapelle's jokes would work, at least in my opinion as a cis gendered person, is if he turned them around himself and made his potential transphobia the object of the joke.
