  1. Send him. And he doesn't have to worry about the pitch clock either.
  2. High leverage. Keuchel has actually been ok. He needs the D to step up.
  3. I'll take a split with Anaheim. The Cubs are a bad team and the Sox usually seem to wake up against the Cubs.
  4. This is completely off topic but I think off the top of my head, Reed is the last Sox closer to get to 40 saves. But yeah, that stretch was brutal. The Sox spent over 100 days in first that year and the Tigers probably didn't spend more than 30.
  5. Actually, I think the best analogy is the 2012 Tigers and the 2012 Sox. I think the Twins are the 2012 Sox and we are the 2012 Tigers. Twins are likely an 80-84 win team. Sox might underachieve but I think they will eventually pull ahead of the Twins for good. I don't think it will come on the last week of the season though. I think they will be comfortably ahead by mid september. SIDE NOTE: I was at the makeup game in 2012 that the Sox won over the Tigers and I left that game convinced the Sox had basically clinched the division. That season was a lot of fun in many ways but the end was gutting.
  6. I think Vaughn's home run is going to be the defining moment of the season.
  7. Holy shit. My cat is just like running up and down the apartment. He's psyched about these developments.
  8. I don't hate Harrison but I think if Burger continues to hit, he should start at 2nd, especially without Eloy.
  9. He's a notoriously slow starter. Like I agree, he's a bit past his prime but he also won an MVP two years ago but I also think he's still good for a .270 average with 30 home runs and 100 RBI.
  10. My cat thinks I'm psychotic right now with all the yelling I'm doing lol
  11. UNtil he proves he can't get it done in a high leverage situation, bring him in.
  12. Would like to see TLR go with the hot hands in the bullpen like Banks and Ruiz for the seventh and eighth, especially if Liam is unavailable.
  13. Vaughn is ok in the outfield. That one was on La Russa for having him play back so much.
  14. That's why I said on paper. On paper, the 05 White Sox weren't necessarily the best team. That being said, the amount of injuries this year have been catastrophic. And I really hope people are now realizing the value of someone like Moncada.
  15. I think the issue right now with ground balls is actually the baseball and many teams, including the White Sox are goign to have to find ways to adjust to this.
  16. This team will either go the way of the 2011 Sox or the 2011 Tigers. Honestly, I think they go the way of the 2011 Tigers who got off to a pretty bad start and until the end of the season were mired in mediocrity. Maybe a better example is last year's Braves. On paper, this is the best team in the AL. That being said games aren't played on paper. They need to get healthy but this team is absolutely better than the Twins. The Twins starting pitching is going to break down towards the end of the season. There is nothing in the White Sox track record to say this. Also a note on Dallas. He wasn't great last night but he was good enough to win but the Sox defense let him down. He has been better this year. He may never find his 2015 or 2020 form again but he can be effective. But especially with him, the defense has to do their part. Abreu's error was completely inexcusable. Keuchel is at his best when he has control over his pitches. I can only imagine his mindset when he sees the Defensive trainwreck that this team has been over the past week and a half. And it probably doesn't help him.
  17. If the Sox don't get past this ALDS this year, Larussa will be gone
  18. Why would you take ReyLo out after one inning?
  19. Yes he does. People often forget how good he was in 2018.
