  1. I wouldn't be surprised if they are making a huge move for Cintron. He was a former White Sox player and KW was a huge fan of him.
  2. Long. They may have just gone under the radar with that interview. If it were Guillen, they would have announced already. It's someone in the world series.
  3. I think it's Espada but this is a ceremonial thing. Especially because he's on the postgame show. But I think they likely see in Espada what the positive things were about Renteria while being a much better in game manager.
  4. I think it's going to be Espada. Maybe it's wishful thinking but it was clear seeing his interview that this was Hahn's guy and actually I think it's the closest return to the GOOD element's of Renteria's run. And we can give JR all kinds of s%*# but I think that they want that because inspite of what a worthless piece of s%*# he is, I do believe JR wants to win. If I were Hahn and JR needed convincing about Espada, that's how I would spin it.
  5. He's been in the Braves organization so he probably is much more open to it than he was when he was managing the Braves. People can change with the time. I think Bochy is another guy who is much more open to it than he was before he retired
  6. Sox have to break up the core but I actually think Wash likely gets the best out of Moncada and TA, at least going off of what we know about the work he did in Atlanta.
  7. It's going to be either Washington, Bochy or Espada. And I think all of them are fine options. To be honest, I think Harris will be hired as bench coach.
  8. Soun He'd be great and Dusty has given no indication that he'll step down either.
  9. I think Katz is likely highly regarded enough around baseball circles to survive and be hired by whomever the next manager is. Maybe Cairo as well, although quite frankly Cairo could be potentially up for a managerial job even outside the White Sox. I'm also not sold on Gio being traded.
  10. I disagree. This team would be up by five or six games now if another manager was at the helm. Does the team have flaws? Yes. But we are seeing in front of our own eyes just how destructive La Russa was.
  11. What the f*** was Cairo thinking in the 7th.
  12. He's had a good night but you have to pinch hit Sheets for Pollock.
  13. You better bring Liam out for the 10th if it gets there.
  14. I feel like Tony would have mailed this in by putting Ruiz in
  15. There's no fucking way this happens if the Sox continue to play like they have.
  16. No. I think it's less that than the fact that the knee surgery was significant enough where he had to remake some of his mechanics.
  17. People have been giving Lynn s%*# on this board but he is 4-1 in his last seven starts a 2.06 ERA and most importantly, 53 strikeouts and only 4 walks. He's quietly found his 2021 form and not a lot of people have noticed. If the Sox can get to the playoffs, and that is a big IF, they will be lining up Cease, Cueto, and Lynn as their first three starters. That's pretty damn good.
  18. At the beginning of the season, I likely would have been in favor of letting Jose go but he's been the best hitter on the White Sox this season. Quite frankly, I don't think any of the White Sox have lost their ability to hit for power. It's pretty obvious that it is Menechino. The data bares this out. They do have a logjam at 1B/DH. It's possible you could get something good for Sheets but I think I don't have a problem keeping him and trading Vaughn. I also would go after someone like Gallo in the offseason. He's been slightly better in LA but I also think he's bound for a rebound. And he improves your defense immensely.
  19. Between two depending on the last 34 games: Everytime I'm Out, they pull me back in. Stringing me along
  20. To be honest, I didn't have an issue with Tony last year. But the regression he's shown this year as a manager is stunning. He lacks any of the fire he had last year. And the defensiveness is new. This Kopech thing could end up being nothing but at a certain point, Tony is going to be responsible for a major injury. A lot of this just makes me sick to my stomach right now.
  21. To think this spot in the rotation used to be Keuchel. Everytime Cueto goes to the mind, it's as close to an automatic win as you can get.
