  1. Unless Abreu wants to come back as a platoon player and the salary of one, the Sox need to move on from him after this season.
  2. Liam needs to face the next batter whether that's this inning or the next.
  3. Need to have Vaughn give the rest of the RH hitters some lessons on how to hit RHP.
  4. We could save our energy and just copy and paste from a Twins board. They're probably saying the exact same things.
  5. Kopech's gonna be tough to hit if he keeps getting those called strikes.
  6. It's not that the northern teams don't want to give up April home dates, it's that the southern/indoor teams don't want to have more. Even in warm weather, April/May attendance is worse because kids are still in school.
  7. Fine. Either way, when you only have three decent outfielders to begin with, you really need to have at least two of them in the lineup.
  8. I'd rather see the best defensive alignment - Harrison/Anderson/Leury/Abreu in the IF and Vaughn/Engel/Pollock in the OF and then put whoever you want at DH. It's not like anybody has been so on fire with the bat recently that you're losing something with Harrison and Engel in there.
  9. What good does it do when he's batting 7th? He's been the team's best hitter so far.
  10. It's a waste of a roster spot on Engel if you aren't even going to start him in CF when Robert is out.
  11. Leury at 2B, Eloy at DH, Burger at 3B, McGuire C, platoon statues in the corner OF
  12. Leury has started at every spot in the lineup except 4th, so I expect we get that sometime this season.
  13. RHP Michael Kopech (0-0, 1.00) vs RHP Bailey Ober (1-1, 3.27)
  14. These 5 (no Moncada yet) are 28 for 150 (.187) vs RHP, 8 XBH, 7 BB, 34K. I got blasted for suggesting the Sox needed to trade one of these six, specifically Eloy because he's not even average defensively at any position. I was told the solution was to just sign good lefty bats for 2B and RF. The problem with that solution is that it was a very narrow path. Those were high demand positions and the cost was high. Eloy could have gotten a cost-controlled guy at 2B or RF and probably more.
  15. Less than grade 1? Are there fractional grades?
