  1. Yaz is very very close to going on an absolute tear.
  2. It's fooling the ump. That 0-2 slider was a strike and he called it a ball.
  3. Yeah it's not really his fault that he gets misused. When Moncada, TA and Harrison are all healthy he should start twice a week at most. Even with Moncada out it should only be 3-4 times and not every day. The only thing I can figure is that his ability too bat from the left side is getting way overvalued since he doesn't really hit righties any better than most of our RH hitters.
  4. I try not to question when certain guys get days off, but the optimal lineup for the 9 guys you are playing is fairly straightforward and this is very frustrating.
  5. Burger sitting today. Leury at 2B, Harrison at 3B, McGuire at C and Grandal at DH, Vaughn in RF.
  6. Cease still just missing that final step of being able to control his amazing stuff for longer than 4-5 innings.
  7. When Moncada comes back, he will be the starting 3B. There's no point debating it. One of Burger/Sheets gets to stay and the other goes down to AAA.
  8. I expect that Burger plays today, but tomorrow we get Leury in place of either Burger or TA, Engel in RF, Vaughn 1B, Jose at DH and McGuire at C.
  9. RHP Corey Kluber (0-0, 0.00) vs RHP Michael Kopech (0-0, 2.25)
  10. Assuming Giolito/Pollock are back and Lynn/Kelly/Moncada aren't yet, this is what I expect on May 1: C - Grandal, McGuire IF/DH - Abreu, Harrison, Anderson, Burger, Garcia, Vaughn, Sheets OF - Jimenez, Robert, Pollock, Engel SP - Giolito, Cease, Kopech, Keuchel, Velasquez RP - Hendriks, Graveman, Bummer, Ruiz, Lopez, Sousa, Foster, Crick (maybe Banks instead of Sousa/Foster/Crick) After May 1: Lynn/Kelly/Cueto push out Sousa/Foster/Crick in some order Moncada pushes out Burger or Sheets
  11. Is NBCSC not allowed to do a post-game show when the game is on a different network or is it just something they won't do. I could really go for some Chuck and Ozzie right now.
  12. The rest of the bullpen has not told Graveman about the 8th inning and they need to keep it that way.
  13. "It looked like a routine play" No, no it didn't. This is not anti-woman because there are some very good female announcers but this one is not one of them.
  14. Offense needs to reverse the trend of not scoring late and get a couple insurance runs here.
  15. No, if you finish an inning you can come out no matter how many batters you faced, though he faced the minimum of three anyway.
  16. I'm not advocating for putting Engel in CF but I think he gets that one.
  17. The new guy Tony brought into replace Bummer looks just like him.
  18. Nobody is surprised that Rodon is pitching this well. People will be surprised if he can do it for more than 140 innings.
  19. The lead runner IS NOT THE LEADOFF MAN! Well, not 8 out of 9 times anyway.
  20. From mid-May on, going the opposite way is a great idea. In April, it's a lot harder to hit one out unless you pull it.
  21. My video feed froze up a few times that inning. That happen for anybody else?
