  1. Luis' decision is really 50/50. If he goes halfway he can't tag and get to 3rd if it's caught. If he does what he did he can't score if it isn't. It's Leury's job to adjust to whichever decision Luis makes.
  2. OK, but once Luis makes that mistake, Leury HAS to stop at 2nd.
  3. OK, nevermind. That's 100% on Leury. He can't be going from 2nd to 3rd that closely behind Luis.
  4. Too late now, but wasn't too late when I first suggested it:
  5. Leury needs to stop hitting any higher than 8th in the order. This is getting really tiring.
  6. Either Luis needs to stop swining so much or he needs to be moved down in the order. This is getting really tiring.
  7. Either TA needs to stop swinging at the first pitch so often, or he needs to be moved down in the order. This is getting really tiring.
  8. Does Hahn even have the authority to do that at this point? Won't TLR just go over his head to stop any moves he doesn't want?
  9. Fine. But if you have four bench players and play them 2x per week, that's 8 days of rest for the starting nine. Even then, it still doesn't justify batting Leury 3rd. Only guys on this roster he should ever bat ahead of are McGuire and Haseley. Maybe Harrison vs RHP. Also doesn't explain why Engel isn't in the OF over Sheets or Haseley.
  10. 1:56: "I don't like baseball like that, bro."
  11. This is going to sound like I'm joking but I'm seriously not. Someone needs to check and see if there are unusually large bets getting placed against the Sox BEFORE the lineup gets posted.
  12. TLR has it in his head that bad lefties are better than good righties vs RHP.
  13. I saw someone suggesting that this was a failure of the Nationals to notify the Capitol Police, as if it was their responsibility to tell the Federal Government what another branch of the Federal Government had planned.
  14. It really sucks for Keuchel that they had three gold glove infielders when they signed him and then replaced them with Moncada, Anderson and Abreu. Oh, wait, that's not how it happened.
  15. Soxtalk said that was an excuse. Never heard anyone from the Sox org say it.
  16. If he really felt Abreu/Anderson/Robert needed a day off, fine. But why not have them face McKenzie rather than Bieber? That's what I have the biggest issue with.
  17. If you ignore the 10 runs Dallas Keuchel allowed, the Sox pitched 15 innings and allowed 3 runs, and that's with Giolito, Lynn, Crochet and Kelly on the IL, and without using Graveman or Hendriks, with the three runs all allowed by guys who will both be at Charlotte by Sunday. If the pitching stays even somewhat healthy going forward, this is going to be an outstanding pitching staff. I have full confidence that Abreu, Robert and Grandal will start hitting much better. I have full confidence that Moncada will at worst be a marginal upgrade over Burger and at best someone who sparks the offense. I'm concerned about Eloy, though I can't quite explain why. I'm concerned that Keuchel will continue to get too many innings once the injured pitchers are all back. I'm concerned that 2B will be a black hole again. I'm concerned that Vaughn won't play enough vs RHP, and will bat too far down in the order when he does.
  18. Mckenzie can't get any breaking pitches over. They're able to sit on fastballs and still can't hit them.
  19. Can they sign Conforto after June 1 without giving up a draft pick?
