  1. Jesse baby! Thanks for the mlb.com tip. I'm in! Watching the game now.
  2. I cant log into mlb.com. this is sucky.
  3. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 9, 2011 -> 01:42 AM) greg, game is free today on mlb.com Holy bleep, thanks.
  4. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Apr 9, 2011 -> 01:40 AM) This is on you now, you curse toting cubs fan . I always look at s*** like that as possibly turning the tide, especially games that I'm not watching on TV. I need to order my mlb.com I guess asap.
  5. Do you think that DP the last inning and blowing the easy run will turn this game around?
  6. If the Hawks win this game are the Hawks in? Looking good at 4-1.
  7. Nice to see Rios move the runner over. That's winning baseball if we drive him in now. Never mind. Yuk.
  8. QUOTE (joesaiditstrue @ Apr 9, 2011 -> 02:26 AM) it'd be nice to take a winning record into June when it starts to warm up More than that, it'd be nice to keep winning series after series with the worst thing that happens a split. That's the key to a standout season.
  9. I just logged on. We're playing well tonight so far. Nice. Why is Beckham raking the ball this season right from the get-go? What's his stance like?
  10. I'm just trying to enjoy Jackson in the present and not worry about how we will likely lose him after the season. I thought we overpaid, but what the hell. s*** maybe if he has a great year and we win something of significance he'll like Chicago and want to stay, giving us a Konerko discount.
  11. QUOTE (cws0591 @ Apr 8, 2011 -> 10:17 PM) I feel for Teahen... He got off to a slow start then heated up and got hurt. After the injury he hit good enough. I like the bat off the bench. What is his best position. I thought when he got here everyone said 3rd was it but from what i saw it better not be. Well, he's playing tonight and he's healthy. He has a chance to contribute to a victory. If he wants to ever play, he needs to do something tonight and not be Mr. Whiff.
  12. A printout of each of the monthly soxtalk calendars with autographs of Soxtalk administrators if you can't get Ozzie to sign each one.
  13. Can't we bring somebody up after we trade Teahen for scraps and pay half his salary?
  14. I'm glad we dumped Milledge. Now we just have to dump Teahen and we'll be all set.
  15. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Apr 8, 2011 -> 06:46 PM) Pierre7, Beck4, Rios8, PK3, Q9, AJ2, Ram6, Teahen dh, Morel5. Danks pitching. Why would you play Teahen in any game? Pretty obvious what the Sox think of him if he's a DH hitting eighth in the order. Get rid of the weak stick/bad field Teahen.
  16. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 8, 2011 -> 06:28 PM) ever notice that his bat is way too big for him? Yes. Drives me crazy. Use a smaller bat, now.
  17. Sad story. No chance for Hall of Fame cause of the drugs.
  18. I ask this again ... why do some of you care about Lastings Milledge so much? The guy is a nobody. Maybe Buehrle and Paulie told Ozzie to drop the guy after his early-season butcher jobs in the OF. Lastings wasn't the answer. Now if/when we dump Teahen I'll be even happier.
  19. I would like to tip my cap to two guys I've blasted in the past. Juan Pierre and Edwin. Juan is off to a nice start and Edwin looks like the real deal. Love to see our batting averages so high after last year's pathetic start. Knock on wood.
  20. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 08:45 PM) Sarcasm I hope? I also wondered if that was sarcasm. What could anybody possibly have to complain about today's game?? I'm starting to love Sergio.
  21. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Apr 7, 2011 -> 04:16 PM) Jesus. We knew Ozzie would want to keep Lillibridge's grindy ass. Why do we care. Lastings is no good; neither in Lilly, but it's been pointed out that we can't have Lastings in the outfield. He can't catch a fly ball. What he did yesterday set the tone for a lousy game. First inning blunder. Lastings sucks. Time to move on. Who cares that we cut that stiff?
  22. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 10:23 PM) I'd much rather have him start off as a slap hitter making a lot of contact and grow into the power than start off with a lot of power but little contact. If he's making contact, the ball will fly off his bat soon enough. Me too, how refreshing to whack a single in that situation.
  23. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 6, 2011 -> 11:37 PM) Should have won last night, should have lost today. It all evens out. I'm going to be happy with a .500+ road trip every single time, even if it is against the two cellar dwellers of the AL Central. Not a bad post. I'd be happy with that as well ... IF we kick ass at home. .500 record or a bit better on the road is fantastic only IF the team dominates at home.
