  1. So far so good, Mr. Peavy. Let's get some runs of Gorzo. Is he this good?
  2. Stoney making a good point about Omar helping our defense. We've had one error in the winning streak. Omar has relaxed Lexi at ss. Just another reason Teahen cannot EVER play third for us again. He is a disaser at third.
  3. I hate 3 p.m. starts with the shadows. Very dumb. Play the game at 1 or 7.
  4. Man that was a great pitch, Peavy. One out.
  5. Because you just don't do it in baseball. You lose the entire team as a manager. You become a clown. If a player starts a game and prepares to start the game mentally, you don't yank him because the other team now has a lefty starter. The fourth inning is too early to make substitutions like that. It's like Kotsay and the team would say, "WTF, what did I do??"
  6. Gorz would look good in our bullpen.
  7. The only thing Zambrano can do is be waiting for the team entering the clubhouse and apologize emotionally. Otherwise he has to be fined a significant amount.
  8. Gorzellany is a professional pitcher unlike that hothead who started.
  9. The only time you remove a starter this early is by injury. Or by meltdown in the Cubs' case. A manager would need to wear a clown suit. He'd lose the entire team.
  10. It's just not done. It's showing up your players.
  11. I don't know, CHW, but I'm glad we have four runs. Gorz looks very good.
  12. Me too, Heads. The Cubs aren't off to a good start. It looked awkward in the outfield on a couple fly balls already. Hope we can have the killer instinct and win.
  13. Stoney gave Hawk a long look there thinking Hawk was going to support Zambrano for that meltdown. Hawk wisely said he made his "all derrierre team" for that meltdown. Damn Gorzellani is looking good.
  14. 50 pitches? Wow. Didn't seem like that man. He may only go 5-plus today maximum. Is Pena the long relief guy today?
  15. That was a better fastball. Is Jake as fast this inning?
  16. You can't be serious. You don't yank your starters this early just because a lefty is in. That is not common sense at all. It is ridiculous.
  17. That Zambrano meltdown is a big deal, folks. Should be interesting to see what the media does with this. He was so mad he was dangerous. I can't believe he didn't hit Lee. He was screaming. He was a madman.
  18. Piniella deserves respect for yanking him. You can't freak out like that. Lee didn't make a play. So what? Zambrano is a freak. Unfortunately Gorzellany looks good.
  19. Stoney said somebody wrote a good article today on Zambrano keeping his cool of late. That poor writer must feel like a dummy.
  20. I really respect Peavy for pitching well despite the fluid thing. He's a bulldog obviously.
  21. I thought it was a Pierre shot. If you guys think Lee didn't make a reasonable effort then I'll reconsider, but that was really uncalled for.
  22. The WGN shot had Zambrano screaming at Lee. That really really was bad. Pierre hit a shot down the line and he thinks Lee should have had it? I dunno. That was really really bad. Zamby does not deserve to win today. My god.
  23. There's gonna be a lot of drunk fans at the game today. Friday 3 p.m. game. Drinkin before the game and heavily during the game. Wow. How can Kotsay go down looking?
  24. Zambrano throwing meat, but hey, our guys are hitting it well! Nice job, hitters.
  25. I apologize to him again. I thought he was a bum. CQ with a bomb. Keep the intensity the entire game, White Sox!! CQ is swinging the bat.
