  1. Zambrano's stuff looked as bad as Randy Williams' the other day. If I didn't know better I'd think he was trying to feed meatballs to Oz's Sox. No thanks on that guy. He's toast.
  2. I'm pretty confident 2 or 3 posters on Soxtalk could hit Randy Williams consistently. He is soo bad.
  3. All losses are annoying. We won 2 of 3 which is good. 3 would have been nirvana. I'll take winning series after series. We need to beat the teams in our division the rest of the way. If we keep sucking against the ones not named Detroit, we aren't going to win squat.
  4. I think tru makes some decent points. People will freak if the Royals sweep us this week. And they did take 2 of 3 from a not bad St Looie team. The Sox did a great job against the NL, but we have such a freaky organization I could see panic setting in if heaven forbid we lose all 3 in KC or even 2 of 3. This got us right back in it. An 11 game streak will work wonders in wiping out huge deficits in the standings. Now that we are in it, we are back playing the AL and it would be damn nice just to keep winning 2 of 3 against teams we should take 2 of 3 from.
  5. I am out. Hope my leaving is good luck. Go Sox! If not, time to win a series vs. KC.
  6. If you are religious, it might be nice to pray for Bobby and the family. He's got little kids, right?
  7. AJ in a bad mood today. He knows he's a pile of suck at the plate today.
  8. If we lose today, do you like Monday's pitching matchup?
  9. Did fathom go to all 3 games? Is his wife having the baby? Good luck with the birth, fathom. Hope all is going well. As a joke, please give the baby a middle name of Oz.
  10. Give me Dayan or give me death.
  11. People should use the green sometimes.
  12. My prediction may be right: 7-6 Sox in 11.
  13. He's soooo good. He is, Mr. All Star, Paul Konerko.
  14. This has nothing to do with us maybe finally losing a game today. But hopefully KW does realize we just mopped up on the NL and we could, uh, use a bat. Or make Ozzie play Dayan, who seems like he has a lively bat. What's wrong with totally dominating the NL, now we gots to play AL ball again, even though we start with the Royals.
  15. We got back in the race by dominating the NL, now it'd be nice if KW got us a DH as we return to the AL. Without him making a move, I'd settle for Dayan but we know that isn't going to happen.
  16. Can we with it 7-6 in 11 innings?
  17. Those quality starts were easy for me to take for granted. That bomb by Colvin was pretty impressive and deadly today.
  18. I never was one of those guys who hated the bombs. You have me mistaken. I'm the guy who stands up for Bobby, Dye, Wise and Oz. I'm not a home run hater. Never have been.
  19. This game tests one's patience. If we stay patient, though, we still may win.
  20. Omar with the soft single, just what we needed. Cmon we got to hit a bomb or 2. Nice start, Omar. Let's go.
  21. Sox need a couple doubles and a big bomb. Time to catch up.
  22. If the Sox had lost 10 in a row you might have a point. If it was a guy who is lazy it might matter. It's AJ and it doesn't matter. If AJ's at bat and behavior is that big a deal to Oz, he should mention it to AJ later. Since it was no big deal it's no big deal is my guess.
  23. It's kind of the feel of this game, truthfully. 5-2 Cubs. That 3 run bomb killed our pitching mojo. We need to keep it w/in 3 and get to their bullpen eventually.
