  1. Like I said, if you guys like Teahen more power to you. I happen to think he is a utility guy or a starter on a very bad baseball team.
  2. Yeah and after acquiring Teahen, he was moved to second. Teahen was the replacement and Teahen is no good IMO.
  3. Has there been any serious talk Teahen would be moved to the outfield? I thought he was the savior at third base, the reason for the Beckham move.
  4. If Freddy can get one more out, wow, he is the definition of a solid No. 5 starter.
  5. Hopefully the Tank will make Oz forget about playing Teahen any more than twice a week.
  6. I prefer to think Freddy can suck it up at 82 pitches and get one more inning out of that stud body.
  7. But we won, and the refreshed Paulie has 3 RBIs today and if we win, will be a big reason. Oz felt Rios was tired, he said, and Paulie needed a day off. Devil's advocate would say with Peavy going Oz made the right call for the possible outcome of winning all 3.
  8. Paulie's having a great day after sitting yesterday. Anybody want to credit Ozzie for giving the slugger a day off and us still winning yesterday? Probably not. Many only criticize.
  9. What is Teahen? Mr. Strike Out and Bad D? If you guys like him I guess we agree to disagree.
  10. My point is I don't care about Fields or Getz. They can sit the bench for us or rot in the minors if it means us not having Teahen who I feel sucks as a regular.
  11. How many pitches has Freddy thrown? If he's at a good number, can he go seven strong innings today?
  12. Are you saying you'd rather see Teahen start for us or Fields sit in the minors and Getz sit the bench? I'd rather have any option than Mark starting.
  13. Can Sweaty Freddy get one more out this inning? Cmon Fred.
  14. Who cares if he's better than Fields or Getz? He still should be a utility guy at best. Maybe we should have traded Fields or Getz for some other mediocre player.
  15. Our chances of winning anything significant rest in Quentin doing something, not Teahen. Teahen should never have been acquired in the first place. I just hope somehow he's turned into a utility guy. His name is a synonym for buzzkill.
  16. Teahen wouldn't be an upgrade over anybody. You want him as everyday right fielder? You want to watch him play right field every day? I don't.
  17. Wouldn't it be nice if Tank's ready and the real deal and we can turn Teahen into a utility guy?
  18. Sweaty Freddy comes back nicely after sitting on the bench so long and the lousy fourth inning.
  19. All I know is it is really stupid to complain after a victory. This is why these managers/coaches in sports get paid the big bucks.
  20. I understand your frustration. Hopefully Oz just wanted to have him sit on the bench a couple days n watch and now it's time to play. He's got to play five of every seven games to make this worthwhile doesn't he??
  21. I disagree he should be ashamed of himself, cause he put a winning team on the field, didn't he?
  22. Jerry pointed out in the Trib story he realizes we're beating up on the easier part of our schedule. He said we had to win these games. So he's aware. He's no baseball dummy. He's a fan.
  23. Gppd win. Most of the game threaders correctly figured we'd have to make at max 1 run hold up today to win. And it happened somehow! Good job Peavy. Wow!
