  1. Then why did he bunt? If a perfect bunt was going to result in an out?
  2. I'm sure Chone will be a White Sox in about five years. He's on the lifetime wish list of Oz and Ken as well.
  3. Man, it woulda been nice to grab that 3-0 lead with a clutch hit in the first.
  4. That was a perfect bunt. If you can't get on base with a bunt like that, you should never bunt.
  5. Is Lucy great defensively? If so, he should play against all lefties. On second thought, that might be a bad idea. He can't hit either, can he?
  6. Bad batting stance, AJ. You look lost.
  7. Yeah, our powerful lineup is trying to make outs. Not quite.
  8. AJ should try to stroke singles the opposite way. Just get singles if you have no pop in the bat anymore.
  9. Will Pierre have 10 rbi's by the all star break and 20 by the end of the year? I know, leadoff men aren't supposed to drive in runs.
  10. Pierre is due for a rare ribbie.
  11. Teahen's bat looks too big from the cf shot.
  12. Base hit by Carlos there woulda been huge.
  13. Amazing ending to score that late. Great great win. If we beat them, will the next round be easier. Nashville has been a tough out.
  14. We are what we are: a home run hitting franchise. Get some more big boppers, Oz. Earl Weaver loved the home run. We love the home run. Screw blah-zie ball. Give me home runs!!!
  15. Don't forget Paulie's home run to awaken the team from the dead. But I agree, the walk was huge. Hope the team realizes after today that it is capable of doing some special things. Reading the quotes about how the clubhouse was dead and ozzie saying the guys were pressing ... they should take this and run with it. It's fun to win fellas. Good job, Rios, Paulie, CQ, Freddy, etc. Don't let up tomorrow. It all starts with getting another quality start!
  16. How can anybody say they see "no joy" in this. It's what sports are all about, especially baseball. Not giving up ... and the longball. Had many fans left? I hope not. It's why you should never leave a game early. Anybody want to admit to leaving early? Nice job Paulie and Rios and Carlos for getting on base for Rios.
  17. Freddy musta pitched great; we need to win games where our starters pitch like this, especially at home. Cmon Sox. Win it late.
  18. Is there really a legit rumor?
  19. I would suggest just enjoying Jones' performance. If he contributes and is a one-year guy for us, so what? Npbody is going to offer Jones some huge contract. I just hope he can keep swatting home runs. We need every hit we can get.
  20. Another game one series victory. Time to keep it going the next day as well.
  21. Jones looked like a professional stud on that walk off. Maybe you guys were rite about Jones. He needs to keep playing and see if he can be comeback player of year. Nice home run.
  22. It's easy to be cynical when you see guys like Kotsay, Omar, Teahen, Jones, et. all out there and when Rios is one of your big boppers at a robust .250. Everybody's cynical. You been reading the papers? The clubhouse is dead. Oz has been all over the place with his comments.
  23. What also shows you how bad this has gotten is most of us now think Rios is great and he's hitting .250 with six ribbies. Yippee.
  24. Wow. Doom n gloom ain't just confined to us Sox fans on this board. This is why you don't want to have about the worst April imanagable. Sucks so much.
