I do like Getz a lot. I hope he gets out of this offensive funk soon. In his last eight games, he's 5 for 32 with 3 walks and no RBIs. Immediately preceding this funk, he had seven out of eight games in which he had 2 or more hits with 6 RBIs and two walks.

Predictably, KW talking about this in the press leads to Bobby doing something about it, then admitting it when asked by the media. What players admit to throwing behind players? We lead the league in dumb. Baseball probably has to suspend Bobby for his comments.

Well, Ozzie is still "in." Since he usually tells it like he truly thinks it is, I'll believe him. We're looking at 14-18, however, with Clayton going tomorrow. Definitely not looking good with Floyd not getting ahead in the count this year.

I love Hawk but I bet he feels dumb. He just plain exploded after the ump warned Bobby. He went ballistic. I was laughing Hawk was so upset at the ump and here Bobby admits he threw behind the guy on purpose. Bobby doesn't even hit a guy and he's probably going to get suspended. Great.

I want to hear Bill James' opinion of hitting coaches because he is my guru. I tend to blame the hitters more than the coach. Walker must have a decent reputation if he's still with the team.

That is true. Last year's title was fun. We did suck in the playoffs, but we didn't have CQ either and it was his year.

I was watching the game Sat. night and Hawk was going off about all the starting pitching we have in our organization. Is this true? He said the Sox system was loaded with talent. What pitchers in our system can you say with 80 percent certainly will excel in the bigs?

Hopefully Thome will heat up with the weather. Four home runs with as many as bats as he's had doesn't cut it.

Two hits? My god. I wonder if anybody has kept track of all of Kenny's moves. Some have worked; some haven't. Lillibridge is a joke. He can't hit a baseball thrown by a major leaguer. And Alexi and Carlos, what the f***? Are they going to get it going? If so, when?

I prefer trading guys in the offseason if you are going to make trades. We'll get robbed for prospects during the season. And prospects ain't proven anything yet.

We looked like we belonged on the field tonight in spite of not scoring much again. We looked like a real team.

If you do that, you better get top notch quality, can't-miss prospects in return. You better be SURE they are going to be stars, because nobody is going to trade good major league players off contending teams for those guys. We'll be getting prospects.

Those fans are everything that's wrong with modern sports. Big picture is Jose helped bring us a WS title. You really are lucky to get 1-2 in a lifetime considering all the teams in baseball, the money disparity, and the luck involved in getting hot at the right time, etc. If you are a true fan with the proper perspective and Jose gets ignited like tonight, what you do is shut the f*** up, look sad, and order another beer. If you don't drink or won't pay the prices, you still sit there and shut the f*** up or bemoan the fact Ozzie/KW keep trotting him out there. Dumbass fans who give the whole park a bad name.

I wouldn't be against Alexei in center, but BA is coming back soon anyway. I wouldn't mind what you say, though, since Beckham will play ss next year. What's the grand plan for Lexi anyway if he returned to the Lexi of old? Was he going to move back to second or ? when Beckham is here next year? Lexi in 96 plate appearances has sucked big dog. 6 walks; 19 hits.

Buehrle should coach third base when he's not pitching. We only win when he's on the field and he would be no worse waving runners in than our coach in the rare opportunities we need to score a guy from second.

Beckham's not coming up, so it's dumb to talk about him IMO. Like you said it might be best, but it isn't going to happen, just like firing Walker isn't an option. He got extended in the offseason and that means he's staying until Oz gets fired and that will happen someday. All managers get fired.

OM God! Carrasco. Please say no. I know nothing about our minor league system except for Beckham/Poreda big-name types, but it is pretty sad if we are trotting pitchers out there in AAA and AA who have no chance to pitch a big league game. Who are these bodies and how bad must they be that they can't be a possible No. 5 starter in the bigs?

Do we have any journeymen in AAA who can actually pitch 6-7 innings and give up 3 runs max? If not, have Paul Byrd pay the Sox for the opportunity to pitch as well as Pedro. In a new concept, they can pay the Sox a couple thousand for each tryout start.
