Yes and the game against Baltimore. I hate to keep bringing it up but don't you guys agree we needed to go into Minnie with a 4-5 game lead? fathom was right in assuming we were going to lose all 3 in Minnie. We predictably lost all 3 but because of the Yankee series and Baltimore and not sweeping three hack KC pitchers, we only had a 3 game lead. Season over. Cleveland has a sensational record the past month and will not be swept by us in the Cell.

This is a great title for a thread but the guys answered the thread question last night in blowing the 6-1 lead. It's over fellas. It's over. Our team laid down in Minnie. They couldn't sack up and get the one win, which is all we really needed. They answered the question in NY when they couldn't even f***ing split the series and in KC when they couldn't sweep against 3 Royals hack starters. You don't come back from what we did in Minnie. In an in or out thread, I am OUT. Cause the guys made the decision for me last night. Will I cheer and pray for the boys to pull it out? Sure. We ain't gonna win five in a row. I can guarantee that.

The Twins are not a better team. The Twins have our number. We needed to go into Minnie with a 4 game lead minimum, 5 or 6 which we could and should have done. Both teams have equally sucked all month. It's just that we had 3 games which were guaranteed losses, these past 3 games. The Twins' starting pitching sucks. The Twins actually have a better chance of losing 3 in a row to the Rays than we do. I'm not defending our piss poor performance of late. I'm saying BOTH TEAMS have sucked all month. It's just we had the guaranteed 3 losses there.

After that piss poor effort in Minnie, where our team simply sucked, its the players who have to show something attitude wise for the first time in a long time and win five games in a row. Sadly to say it simply ain't gonna happen.

That's what is so frustrating. The Sox could have been over 3 games up. When both teams were playing on the road at the same time we could have manned up and expanded our lead. Even coming into Minnie with a 4 game lead would have been fine. I think the very MEDIOCRE Twins would have lost a game to us; we wouldn't have won it, they'd have lost it. It's very frustrating to deep down know we'd lose all 3 and have 3 days of our lives wasted as it slowly happened day after day. It's payback for the joy given us in '05. No, not ASAP. Take your time, develop a plan and this winter when the hot stove league is firing, trade them when their "name value" still has GMs and fans salivating.
